Given we didn’t know how he would play at that time, yes I would’ve benched him.

Tomlins team that he built hasn’t done much, but Ben is anti clutch at times too.

2011- one and done to Tebow
    2012 rebuild
    2013 rebuild
2014 Ben tate- one and done
2015- burfict gift, croissant. 1 win
2016- backup qb, Alex smith then got bent over. 2 wins
2017- 13-3 one and done to bortles
    2018- collapse no playoffs
    2019- non losing season special
2020- the standard - most likely one and done

Next year will probably be his first losing season.

hey I said I’d be real steel pessimistic if we lost lol

What the homers don’t get is it’s not pessimistic it’s realistic. Anyone that could t see this team had glaring issues and then compounded by injuries weeks ago wasn’t paying attention.

In his defense if you turn the ball over three times and the other team doesn't once then it is hard to win especially if they score off the turnovers

The coaches will be held accountable if they continue to come out flat on offense. It depends on the owner and gm.

That's the thing. You never know with Ben. We have all watched many of games where Bad Ben plays a half, and then Good Ben brings us back to win the game. We all know what Mason is. No sense benching Ben to punish him. He's to old for that.

How do you know this? Ben should have been benched in the 2nd half. If what you say is true it wouldn't have mattered anyway.... Steelers were gonna lose regardless.

Yes...Unless your happy to be a.500 team, and that's what they are now, a .500 team...

Any team with Watt, Heyward, Tuitt, Minkah...Some decent WR's... Will win some games against ****ty teams, But can't even win them now because Ben and the OL are SO bad!

They seriously look like one of the WORST teams in the League!

Post game pressers the rest of the season lol

    Ben:

“maybe I’m just not good enough. I need to play better.”

    Tomlin:
“We tip our cap to our opponent. It’s not how you lose but how you move forward. We aren’t good but we will correct that moving forward. *insert some smart line here* time doesn’t stand still for anyone, much less the Pittsburgh Steelers. We can’t just end the season at 11-0. I like these group of guys and I look forward to how this team responds after not one loss, two or even 3 losses in a row, but 6. I’d really like to be given that opportunity to see how we overcome that challenge”

Ben would have led a comeback if he could completed a pass on that last drive

It’s not about that, it’s about being accountable and showing no one is safe from abysmal play. Still, it didn’t matter

It happens even brady looked bad in a few games this year. He'll get out the slump or he'll retire at the end of the year

Brady had a decent O-line and much better coaching. Steelers have too many holes. It's too much to overcome with injuries on defense and regression of O-line.

Steelers went from a top 5 team to a bottom 5 team in one month's time.

How does it work if he would retire? Are the cap implications better?

Colts and Browns will wipe the floor with the Steelers. Both have good defenses... much better than the Bengals D. Our offense will be lucky to score 3 points and not get shut out in both games.

    1. Tomlin will NEVER be fired by the Steelers....guaranteed!
    2. Our O-line was so far out of position they looked like a Chinese fire drill....the O-line coach has to go.
    3. We run the same handful of plays every game.......Fitchner has to go.
    4. Yet another season with extreme talent down the drain.
    5. Tomlin will NEVER be fired by the Steelers....guaranteed!

Browns defense is middle of the pack and ben normally fairs well versus the colts zone. As long as he gets the ball out quick and avoids turnovers he'll be fine.
