Leftovers

I cooked this yesterday. It might have been a little bigger than I needed. 16 1/2 pound prime grade rib roast cut from the Chuck end.

 

Burgers on the grill, corn on the cob next to it. Cold bean salad. Gonna saute some onions to spice up the burgers.

 

We started playing bad when these early cooking threads started. Coincidence? Lol jk

I’m gonna have whatever my mom is making since I’m visiting

 

Lots of leftovers from the weekend. Delicious meatballs. Probably make some pasta with it and fresh garlic bread with salad.

 

What did Jesus have for the last supper? Because that’s what tomorrow is for us.

Not sure what that has to do with anything. It was a good joke about the state of Steeler affairs.

 

We're having my wife's chili. Good stuff. And I think my wife and daughter are making Christmas cookies, too.

 

Wife says we're pulling an audible on my leftovers plan. She wants frozen pizza. I'm pulling a double audible. I'm thinking homemade wings.

 

Beef and sweet potato stew over the pond. With garlic bread of course.

I think he was downing some wine to top off the meal. Hope everyone has ample supply of your fav adult beverage for this one. And screen protector.

Found some good not sausage from a store down in Wheeling, WV. It's a meat market that cuts it's own. Really good stuff. This will be my third trip to get it. I have cooked it for Christmas eve, but was so good we went through it already. My wife isn't a big fan of it usually but she likes this stuff really well. I had to send some down to my dad's as well and they loved it. So, I'm off today to buy more and cook it for Christmas, to go with everything else we will have.

I also picked up a couple of bottles of a local vino. We will try it, I'm not much of a wine drinker so I don't really know which are good, but I know what tastes good so what the heck I'll give it a try. All the little old Italians that used to make their own sausage and wine are no longer with us so times have changed, so the hunt continues.

 

We had the same thing in Pt. Loma, where I grew up but, with the Portugese. They used to make some wicked burgundy wine in the garage!

 

For years I always drank Stelle when I went to an Italian restaurant. “Drink like an Italian”. Then I figured out it’s from Belgium.

 

I recommend cooking the pizza.
