We haven’t been stacked the whole time, pretty freaking depleted for some of those years while we rebuilt. That Cowher talent that everyone likes to reference was faded by 2010.

Tomlin deserves credit for that rebuild, too. Him and Colbert have done a good job there.

It’s an interesting question, everyone wants to reach the SB but I’m not sure losing 4 of them is better than not reaching them at all. Losing that first one to Dallas bothered me so much because it tarnished our perfect record.

Yea so crazy to think the HC has anything to do with Ben's post season record. So what's Tomlin's excuse? He has had a great QB his entire career... and the Last 10 years... 90% failure in the postseason isn't something I'd brag about . You cannot choke 9 out of 10 season and call you self good. Let the facts speak for them selves.

Not sure how you can seriously defend that record when you have had an elite QB. Tomlin is the HC... it is fair to say the HC has something to do with not winning in the playoffs. Most would agree consistent post season success in the NFL pretty much falls on the HC and the quality of their QB's. Naming off the fluke examples does not support anyone's case. Last 30 years maybe there's been 3 avg QB's to actually win a SB.

It is significantly more likely to win in the playoffs with an above average QB. This is an obvious statement correct? So why is it so hard for some to swallow that Cowher struggled in the playoffs because he was competing against the league's best with a bad QB? And to further support this when he did have a capable QB he was in the SB.. Neil O and Ben. If a team has a good QB it is entirely fair to expect better results. If a HC has the advantage of always using a quality QB to run his offense ...then expectations should be higher. 10 years with a good QB and nothing to show for it is not good.

Wouldn't it be fair to expect a good HC at least win half their post season games in a 10 year span? Wouldn't you expect a few seasons in the AFCC when you have a top 5 QB running your teams? 10 years is more then enough time to build a SB team with a HOF QB ...at least if the coach is good it is.

Tomlin is average. His post season record the last 10 years speaks for it self. Maybe he was a great coach in his first 3 seasons? Maybe the league figured him out? You wanna argue Tomlin was great his first few seasons fine...at least you have the data to support it. But great coach now? The last 9-10 seasons no so much. Maybe the league figured him out? Maybe Tomlin was winning with Cowhers players and staff? I suppose mediocre coaches occasionally win SB's just like mediocre Qb's occasionally can do it. McCarthy and Tomlin would be perfect examples of this? But then again McCarthy had 4 more years with post seasons wins since he beat Tomlin...and he still got fired.

Maybe and hopefully Tomlin learned some things and has progressed to be a great coach now? Maybe...let's see what happens this post season before anointing him anything but average because the facts say as much. Everyone has opinions and some are not based on facts. Now days seems like a lot of people don't even know what a fact is so maybe that's the problem.

A loss to the Bengals should blow it up.

Just like Cowher would have 4-5 SBs with the great D. Marino. The facts speak for themselves. Shula topped Cowher in the history of the NFL. Tomlin is still in the running to do it without the fiction.

He's the kinda head coach that is only as strong as his asst. So, I think the priority would be to revamp his asst. You get better asst then I think you get better production

That elite QB hasn't always played great in the playoffs, Ben is a big reason they lost to Jacksonville in the playoffs in 2017, he gifted them 14 points with his turnovers.

Served in Germany during disco fever, really did not like the music...but loved the European women that loved it, along with all the other ladies that had moved there from all over the world. Frankfurt was very fun in those days.

So if you go 13-3 with Kordell Stewart and get the #1 seed then lose, you get a pass losing in the playoffs because Kordell was your QB? But he was your QB when you went 13-3...?

Why give a pass when you lose the games that matter most? The logic is lacking if you’re a Bill apologist but MT hater.

Also I can’t hate on disco. Anything with good energy and a slapping bass line is solid 24k gold in my opinion

Maybe we should hire Jon Gruden who's survived a career of losing seasons. 1 SB the product of having perennial all pros Warren Sapp, Derrick Brooks, Barber, John Lynch et al on defense nothing more.

The grass is not always greener.

Disco was, and is the worst "music" ever! I'd rather listen to "The Macarena" on play-repeat than anything disco.....:puking 5:

    Disco is better than rap.

Being shot is better than being hung.

    Just saying.
