Cowher had his flaws but Tomlin isn’t nearly as good in my opinion.

So the QB situation is good enough to get Cowher at the door, but not get in. (Isnt that MT’s issue too?) Why does not having that franchise QB only become an excuse in playoff games he ****s up? Take 1994 vs San Diego, 2001 vs New England. Imagine being the head coach of a team that loses the AFC Championship due to special teams? Not a good look.

My point is Cowher went 13-3 in 2001 with Kordell. Meaning, they were good enough to be top of the AFC with Kordell. But you’re give Bill a pass when he loses those.

Kevin Colbert builds these teams. Which, by the way, the biggest factor to our success is the brain of Kevin Colbert. I wish we could give him a 400 year contract. The drop off when he retires hopefully won’t be too steep

You don’t think they were ready to win at 15-1 in 2004? Or 13-3 in 2001? How about the 12-4 team from 1994 that blew an AFC title game to a much lesser SD team?

Giving MT a hard time for losing in the postseason is fine. But hold Bill to the same standard

Consider that before the 2005 run, Bill was 8-9 in the postseason. People forget that

I don’t get the point Kordell wasn’t close to a franchise QB and a large part of the reason they lost to Denver and New England in those AFC title games. If Cowher had Ben his entire career like TOMLIN we wouldn’t have only 1 title and 3 playoff wins in 11 years.

The 94 choke was really bad. TOMLIN himself would have been proud of that one.

So what? MT went 8-8 without Ben for 14.75 games.

Sanders got injured in the Super Bowl, Brown was a rookie, and he wasn't a guy who played a lot of snaps that season.

I would rather have 1 SB win, over four consecutive losses in the SB duh, dispute that .

Well if they weren't ready when they went 15-1 , then of course they weren't ready with the 13-3 and 12,-4 records. And steelers6 wonders why I'm done with this :goofy:

The thing i didn't like about Cowher was that he was too conservative at times. When they got the lead he would play not to lose, trying to eat the clock , instead of keeping the foot on the gas with the passing . He would keep running the ball even when the running game wasn't there. It would be quick 3 and outs leaving too much time for the other teams to come back. Used to drive me nuts.

You just said Brown hardly played that season which is a fact. Sanders and Brown had about 17 catches on the season. Who’s fault is that TOMLIN’s!!!! I would argue a good coach would have worked them in. Half way through the season they should have been 2 of the top 3 WRs on the team. Which means they win the super bowl.

No...It means Levy had dominate teams, year after year after year ...Lost Super Bowls because their FG Kicker shanked FG's ...Not getting blown out at Home by Blake ****in Bortles, and losing to Tebow... PLEASE, If you think Popcorn could carry Levy's Jock!

Those Bills teams would have beat Bortles by 50, Tebow by 50... Because their team barely lost in Super Bowls,You don't honestly think they think they were worse than Captain Dumbasses Teams...

He just lost to the Bills, When we had a strip sack.. As he stood there like the Dumb Ass he always is, arms folded, looking hard...Instead of throwing the challenge flag, costing us the Game!

Lost like 28 out of his last 30 Challenges...And you trust this Clown to lead us to another Super Bowl lol!

They lost the first one because of FG but got their ass handed to them next 3. The NFC was the dominate conference during that time period for sure.

Still say Don Beebe's play was one of the best ever in the SB. His team getting destroyed by the Cowgirls and he doesn't give up.

Tomlin the coach really doesn't exist, just like there's no Santa Claus, no tooth fairy (might be one playing for Tampa, have to double check), there's no Easter Bunny, no cupid, theyre just regular people wearing costumes pretending to be something they aren't. Sorry to break this to the MT lovers but he's a fraud. His real name is George and he used to work at a gas station.

They lost one on a missed field goal (the first loss). Their second loss was 37-24 to the Skins, where they trailed 24-0 and 37-10 before a couple of garbage time TDs made it look close. They then lost to Dallas 52-17, which would have been 59-17 if it weren’t for Leon Lett blowing a fumble return. In their 4th loss, they were beaten again by Dallas 30-13.

It's not about the career Kordell had but the year he had. Kordell had a good year.

Ben's performances were a big reason why the Steelers didn't always perform well in the playoffs.

I can only conclude that you don't realize how difficult it is to win the Superbowl bowl.

Rodgers won one and only played in one. Brees won one and only played in one. Superbowls are difficult to win.

I want Tomlin to help this team be as successful as possible. He's helped put this team in a position to compete for Superbowls more often than not. People take winning for granted. Seems you can only appreciate the losses. Here is a tissue for your tears.
