Injury Updates

Yes I said probably, he will be eligible week 17 but the likelihood of him being ready to go, who knows. I expect our playoff destiny will be decided before then in any case.

Hopefully Avery Williamson can step up in the coming weeks. Once again, thank god they took out that insurance policy.

 

Fingers crossed Avery is up to the task. He’s already played the Bills twice this season, so hopefully that will be beneficial.

UGIII helps with the depth, such as it is. Scales was elevated too.

 

Depth positions are so valuable to a super bowl run it’s not even funny. Ben goes down season over, but you do need some “next man up” players to win that ring.

 

Hopefully he’ll be able to play against the Colts.

Matt Feiler's regular season is over. The Steelers put him on IR today with a pectoral injury. No word yet on Dotson.

 

Just read that. Sort of what I feared. Unfortunately, pec injuries don’t usually point to a quick return. Hopefully Dotson will be different.

 

They said on SNR he could return?

 

IR is minimum of 3 games and that’s all we have left. Well that and the 1 and done playoff game upcoming.

 

So 3 O Lineman have had pec injuries?

 

Any word yet on Dotson?

 

Tomlin said he has a chance to play against the Bengals. His injury is apparently a shoulder and not a pec.

 

Wheeeeeew...Dang, We need to start getting some good news!

 

If he's 100% by Monday, let him play, but if he isn't and there's any chance of aggravating his shoulder, maybe hold him out? Tough call because we need win and secure the division.

Wonder if they've reached out to Foster?

 

This already came up on another thread. That would be a hard no.

They signed Danny Isadora off the Chiefs' practice squad today. He has six NFL starts, so maybe he would at least be tolerable depth in a pinch.

 

Of course, James Conner is injured again. This time it is a sore quad.

 

I was halfway joking about Foster. He’d obviously be a guy they are familiar with and who’s familiar with the system, but I doubt he’s in any kind of football shape.

 

hmmm... I was listening to SNR and Dale Lolley said Feiler was done. Not sure what to belive?

Regardless, Feiler has had an up and down year. If we get hot, I'm not sure I would disrupt that once he returns.

 

Feiler has never played as well at guard as he did at tackle. I think this is part of the problem. I wonder why they have not gone back after Wisniewski? Was he hurt that badly?
