And do it in a way that doesn't scream we are throwing it to Ebron.

It was there. I remember Moose saying if Ben would have thrown it sooner, he wouldn't have had to try and drop it in over the DB. The throw was horrible. A tall WR may have had a chance.

Since I've had the time for it, I've listened to and watched a lot of pro football related talk shows and other than a very select group of personalities, most of these guys seem to be poorly prepared. I think the rush to be the first with a nugget of information that might be a lead story is part of it, but their fact checking is definitely suspect. The other thing that gets on my nerves is over use and implied importance of the qualifier used for many of these people, the dreaded "NFL Insider, insert name here". Give me break. You could refer to a scalper at any NFL stadium as a "league source, or insider".

Jason LaConfora's info has been terrible for years now...

Though there might be some truth to Ben's knee issue? But really, if there are no tears the only thing that could be an issue is if there is some loose cartilidge in there that needs to be scoped? Otherwise he should be back to 100% in a week or two.

I expect the offense to be better tonight. And yet, they should still fire Randy

I know, you are right. 11 dropped balls last week. Randy needs to start blaming himself for his receivers dropping balls. Especially the ones in the end zone.

It's now 11:40 pm. The game has been over for a little while now.

Why does Randy Fichtner still have a job? Don't even let him on the damned plane!

I have zero problem with firing him but it won't change who Ben is.

Reports are we put the pads on for practice to get the run game going...

And they ran draws from shotgun all night.

    STUPID!

And hence why we're not winning a championship with him ever again. This definitely wasn't a popular opinion but when Ben said he wanted to come back a couple years ago, I would have said no thanks.

Why Ben’s is just call his own plays anyways even if you hire Bill Walsh as OC. How about the guy with heat maps in this thread, The Burgh going high tech analysis

This. How many premiere offensive coordinators are going to agree to come into a team with Ben and then be told "you have to run everything from shotgun, you can't call play action, don't call sneaks, and don't call anything that requires the QB to move out of the pocket? I love Ben, but he severely limits what you can call on offense.

Can Matt Canada take over the playcalling the last 3 games?

I don't know if it's necessarily better when Ben is calling the plays but I definitely agree Fichtner has to go. It's hard to know sometimes which is responsible for the bad play calling. I would still like to know between the two who was responsible for the trick play to Hawkins.

Ben’s math of going long on 3rd down hoping to catch the defense napping is killing a lot of drives. He hasn’t made one of those throws for completion yet this year. You are no offensive guru Ben. Take what’s there and be aware what down it is.
