I'm just thinking to my self. So I'll ask the good folks who know alot more than I do. I think this might be Ben's last year. That elbow is giving him problems. Now he is nursing a bad knee. I realize Steelers football is his life. He needs to put his heath first at this point. His kids are going to require more of time. It can't be money that's for sure. I value the opinions expressed here. Go Steelers, let's smoke Buffalo.

I think Ben will look at his legacy & weigh that with his opinion on the team's chance to get to 7 or 8 Lombardis. I see him back next year if injury doesn't end his career.

Well before this season Ben said he felt the best he has in years. I think as long as he feels he has it in him to keep going out there he will.

I don’t see him hanging them up while he thinks he can still play.

Get him some guys on the line that can keep him from
    Getting hit
And Ben can play as long as Marsha Brady can.

I think Ben plays at least 1 more year, even if we win it all.

The knee injury is a concern, if the media is not blowing smoke and it actually turns into something needing surgery and requires rehap he may rethink coming back, but barring anything like that I think he will extend 2 years giving the team a lot of cap relief for next year. Even with a deflated cap that extra money could go a long way in securing a few younger players on a retooled line, possible keep JuJo and find a decent FA back (or one in the draft). The P is not that far away really, even with an aging Ben.

Ben hasn't been sacked in over 3 full games. He still won't play as long as Brady though.

I think he should retire. We cannot go into the season with the hopes of who he was. He never was a pocket passer and unfortunately, we cannot turn him into one at this stage of his career. His bread and butter was his ability to extend plays.

    11-2.

I'll take it but things have to change.

Old QBs start good in September and fade in December.

Just the mental letdown of being 11-0 then losing out the season may be too much for Ben to handle.
It’s got to be mentally exhausting.

I would argue I’m the biggest Ben homer here. We live and die by him but what in the world is going on? I saw a game Roethlisberger out there tonight. Problem was, he was in the wrong uniform.

He needs to retire and the sooner, the better. Part of our problem is his inability to make NFL throws down field. I think he is she'll shocked in getting hit making him feel he has to dump the ball in 2 seconds. Well that code has been broken and we end up punting the ball 4 times in the 1st qtr which we haven't don'e in 4 decades according to tonights announcers. Our offense system is a failure and I believe Ben is part of why we continue to try and make it work.

Problem is this is Ben’s offense. He has it hostage. Tomlin needs to get it back, and take the keys for the car from Ben.

It might be now, after throwing 50 times a game. The only reason he didn't throw 50+ times tonight was the Steelers only had 50+ plays on offense.

We won't win jack this year including our division. We're playing nearly as bad on offense as we did last year. Time to move on. We're in Tomlin Total collapse mode. I'll be pleasantly surprised if we win next week.

Ben needs to be a game manager like Elway at the end.

He is not good enough to gunsling anymore.

If he won’t then he needs to go.
