I think not!The Steeler office wanted younger players, more speed.Well this is what happens,no power to stop the run!Lost the talent to tackle!Lost the trait to stay with the receiver, playing too soft.Yes I miss Blunt,Woodson,Lambert,Ham.

Next man up!Rotate 2nd and 3rd string in,more reps = better plays for the playoffs and superbowl. If that dont work, bring Harrison out of retirement! At least he can tackle and sack anyone!

He also whiffed badly on 1st and goal at the 1/2 yard line, which contributed to that play being blown up

Lots of Head Coaches in the OC group that has been here: Ariens, Haley, Gillbride, Whiz, Erhardt, Joe Walton. I suspect that more than most teams have.

I would love to see them quit pulling linemen on the GL or on short yd plays. I have always hated pulling guys when you only need a yd, it gives the defense a chance to pernitrate and blow it up. The puller has to give ground to pull, the rest of the line is not getting push so now the puller is 3yds deep and meeting the rb at the point of contact. I would love to see this change but doubtful. Hell if Ebron just stops at Al's ass and get ran over instead of blown by Snell scores from the 1.

Was that the play where both he and Mac were completely ignored because the defenders knew it was going to the RB in the flat? There was one play like that where it looks like Watt went to block tripped himself, missed the block and then he and Mac turn and look at Ben as if to say hey we are wide open here.

No. It was a failed Snell run off right tackle on 1st and goal (the goal line stand). Watt had to kick out the corner, but whiffed and the corner submarined him to hit Snell 2 yards in the backfield. The bigger culprit was Chuks, who was demolished by his guy. Chuks’ guy collided with Feiler, who was pulling from left to right on the play, which resulted in Feiler arriving too late. Feiler’s guy would have been the filling LB who ended up being untouched before colliding with Snell. McDonald also got stood up in Snell’s path, but had Watt and Chuks done their jobs, Snell would have scored easily. It’s possible that he would have been able to push his way in had either Watt or Chuks done their job.

Remember that goal-line shovel-pass play we used to have? Where did that go?

We have two-plus seasons of Dupree producing sacks, quarterback hits, and pressures, so yes, it is a sound argument.

That brings us back to the most important change that should happen. They need to start Dotson at guard and move Feiler back to right tackle. Okorafor is a terrible run blocker. They need to get him out of there and regain some semblance of a running game. The pass protection might suffer a little, but Feiler is better at tackle and Dotson showed he could do a decent job, at least better than Okorafor.

I agree. Unfortunately we don’t get to vote, and Chuks will continue to be a liability in the run game. Another challenge to overcome.
