So after watching and paying a little more attention to DJ im curious if anyone is seeing what i see? I seem to notice that when he gets the ball he seems to do anything and everything he can to avoid contact. I have noticed him running out of bounds instead of taking a hit for a few more yards. I have seen him dive down in the middle of the field giving up yards instead of taking a hit. I have seen him get the ball and do alot of "moves" which i thought was to try and get more yards but now i question if this guy just does not want to get hit at all.

This brings me to a second question. If what i am seeing is true and he is very afraid of getting hit i wonder if this is causing his drops? is he scared of getting hit and not concentrating on catching the ball cause he is worried about the hit?

Just curious what everyone else's thoughts are?

I didn’t notice that, in fact I was worried about him fumbling fighting for yardage.

I have noticed him starting to look away before catching the ball.

I don't think that's due to him not wanting to get hit. That does need to be corrected though.
Making people miss is what he's best at. When he took hits and fought for extra yards he fumbled. I think he's being more mindful of that.

He simply is trying to do too much to get extra yards, which sometimes results in an actual loss of yardage from what he should've had, or simply to run before securing the ball because his head is moving faster than his body

I was just being snarky when I stated that you were seeing things.:sneak:;+)
Another possible problem is he might be a tiny bit of a headcase. That's based on his body language only, I've barely heard the kid interviewed this season.

Needs to screw his brain on. Too much talent to waste.

I think he could be ultra talented in the form of an AB type talent.

But through 1.5 seasons of watching. 3 things hold him back from being ultra talented thus far.

    1. Staying completely healthy

    2. Drops of balls that shouldn't happen.

    3. Ball security after catching passes.
