It`s falling apart IMO. Too much Covid out there for normalcy in the NFL.

Too bad the NFL did not schedule weeks off around Thanksgiving. No doubt more nutty stuff on the way.

Look at the Broncos, they have no QB`s.

In quite possibly the most preposterous situation of an NFL season full of them, the Denver Broncos are set to play the New Orleans Saints on Sunday with no quarterbacks on their active roster.

Backup quarterback Jeff Driskel was placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list on Thursday, and will now be joined by the rest of the team’s quarterback depth chart. Drew Lock, Brett Rypien and Blake Bortles were all ruled ineligible on Saturday due to contact tracing, the team confirmed.

My old man memory is a little fuzzy. But I seem to remember the Jets once having to play a game with their punter as the QB.

Had to do better than the time the Steelers had to use their OLB as a long snapper.

Argument could be made that the Steelers played all season without a QB last year

I was going say when they started Kent Graham, they played without a QB, but I wanted to be nice.

Have you ever had your very own We are doomed thread? Would seem justified as we have several threads for every freaking other thing on earth. LOL

No...not yet. A doomed thread would be overkill. It's more effective sprinkled into threads here and there.

Steelers better find whatever pond the Duck is on, sign him to the PS, and hide him in a secret hermetically sealed cave in the mountains outside of Uniontown for later use. That, and plan to run out of the Wildcat formation a lot, which I hereby rename the Covidcat for this occasion.

Testaverde got hurt in that game, and I don't remember who their back up was, but he must have gotten injured too. Had to be in the mid 90's. I forget all the details.

The backup was Rick Mirer. I forget the circumstances, something to do with the emergency QB rule possibly leaving Parcels without a punter. Mirer played late in the game and stunk it up.

Speaking of QB's who are not QB's, didn't the Steelers have some decent passes thrown by some of our running backs?? Pretty sure Bettis threw a few times and may have had 1-2 TD's. I'm sure we tried that trick play a few times over the years but can't seem to remember any others. LB????? A few wide receivers off the fake reverse. Not sure.

Pulling up a PS WR who hasn't seen an NFL snap yet to start at QB due to covid is straight up bullsh!t. If any team had a legit b!tch for having game postponed, the donkeys do. I mean, injuries and issues happen causing you to go to the bench, but why do the teams with decent records get the postponement i.e. titans, rats but a team out of the hunt doesn't? How about a little f#$king consistency NFL? F#$K Goodell and the horse he rode in on.

I firmly believe in science and the virus, but why have we taken contact tracing to such an absurd level? Once a person has tested negative over the course of 3-4-5 days, why should it matter if that person came into contact with someone who has been infected? There must be some point after which negative test results win over contact tracing. I am not stating that i know how long a person can test negative after being infected, but there has to be some medical limit.
