Some Steelers fans are too concerned about Kansas City right now

A lot can happen before a possible matchup with the Chiefs in the playoffs, fans worrying about how the Steelers matchup with the Chiefs, the Steelers need to take care of business first. We remember in 2017 after the Steelers lost to New England the Jesse James TD overturned call, most people assumed they would meet up again in the AFCCG that year, the Steelers got upset by Jacksonville .

Well....We are not playing in the game. I think we will have our hands full with KC. I think we need to stop their TE and speed PM up....We can beat them..

However, a lot can change in the next few weeks as mentioned b4..

I can see the Bucs in the SB. They have a nice D and some great players on offense. If Tom can learn the offense like BA wants it ran...They could gel into something nice...

I think we have some very tuff games coming up in the next few weeks..Ravens...Colts...Bills...Browns

All will be a big test and will determine where we need up in the playoffs..

Yes, because as we all know, the concerns of fans are what win games. Some Steeler fans had better listen to you RIGHT NOW or else our season is doomed.

 

Chiefs with Mahomes at QB is not a good matchup for the Steelers. I believe Steelers can beat any team in the NFL except the Chiefs. Steelers don't match up well vs. Chiefs. We found this out a few years back when Mahomes torched the Steelers at Heinz Field. It's gonna be more of the same if Steelers and Chiefs are in the AFCCG.

 

I’d agree. A lot can happen between now and then. Juju did an interview with Peter King recently and Peter asked them if they were thinking about an undefeated season etc and Juju said they were. Human nature, but it should be one game at a time. I don’t think it’s necessarily that harmful for fans to be thinking about potential matchups but the players need to be focused.

I think any of Las Vegas, Baltimore or Tennessee are capable of coming to Heinz field in the playoffs and winning. We can’t take anything for granted.

 

If it was against any other team I would have gotten over it a lot quicker but I remember I just sat on the couch for a very long time with my mouth hanging open and my head shaking. My wife ask if I needed to go to the hospital.

 

You are 100% correct but I can't stop thinking of it. Good friend is only KC fan I know. Doesn't have much money so after they won the SB I bought him a KC jersey. He is so confident of it being us and them in the AFCCG he asked if it's OK to watch the game at my house (much better TV).

For that matter, I looked throughout the 2018 Steelers Roster. Perhaps I missed something but someone is missing from that 53 Man Roster. Minkah Fitzpatrick does not show up on the list....

The Steelers defense wasn’t nearly at the level they are now. Particularly when it comes to forcing turnovers which I think is going to be the main factor in a possible matchup with them. Their play at Safety is specifically light years better than 2 years ago.

The game that worries me most at the moment is their matchup with Washington next week. Their pass rush is nasty and objectively speaking Alex Smith is in the midst of a legitimately feel-good story right now.

The team I am beginning to be concerned about is the Colts. Their offense is getting better and better and their defense has been good all season. They could be a scary team to play in the playoffs.

 

Not with Phyllis behind the helm. He will toss picks a plenty in the big spot.

 

I hope your right. Might be different then in years past. Frank Reich is the best coach Rivers has had since Norv Turner.
