Since everybody seems to be up the Bengals and Burrow’s asses give me one scenario where other then Ben not playing cause of Covid and Joe Burrow going completely off and throwing for over 400 yards and like 4 or 5 TD’s where the Steelers lose this game cause I have a hard time seeing it. I just don’t get why everybody thinks the Bengals are just so damn good that they are gonna beat the Steelers on Sunday. Now they have been competitive in mostly every game they have played in this year but they still have 2 losses to the Browns, a loss to the Chargers, and a tie against a mediocre Eagles team. They stink on defense and can’t stop the run or pass, they aren’t gonna be able to run the ball if Mixon doesn’t play and Gio Bernard is the main RB.

So I just don’t see anyway that the Bengals pull this win off other then Burrow playing completely out of his mind, and the Steelers completely imploding on offense and turning the ball over 5 times. Other then both of those highly unlikely scenarios there is zero scenario where the Bengals win this game.

Don't count your chickens before they hatch. Look at what the cowboys did last week.

All it would take is a couple ST TDs and maybe 1 Steelers TO.

Remember when we played the broncos a few seasons back? Bad things can happen and I am not even a pessimist!

    :herewego!:

The Steelers have found ways to win games late all season somehow someway and even if this game is tight and comes down to the end with the Bengals they will find a way to do it yet again on Sunday.

Wouldn't be surprised if this is a tight game. This is the Bengals Super Bowl. Bengals will bring their A game. Bengals are gonna bring a big can of whoop-ass!

Except for the Ravens the 'gals have stayed in nearly every game. When you say zero scenario I laugh. The steelers had the benefit of several penalty calls the last couple of weeks. Not arguing if they were legit or not,and penalties are part of the game. But without those calls the drives would have been stalled and we do not score, or we give the opposing team another chance to move down the field. The last 3 games have been decided at literally the last play. That alone suggests 'zero possibilities' for the 'gals is ludicrous.

I’ll still stick with Burrow needing to play almost perfect for the Bengals to win and that’s gonna also mean the Bengals defense which stinks getting probably 3 or 4 turnovers and somehow slowing down Ben Roethlisberger and this Steelers offense which have scored at least 26 points in every game this season up until last week in Dallas where they still got 24 points and didn’t even play well. So yea still sticking with no other way the Bengals can win this game other then that. And if the Steelers would lose this game to the Bengals it would be an absolutely horrific loss and a complete and total disaster. Teams that are 8-0 trying to get homefield advantage throughout and trying to win a Super Bowl don’t lose to teams with 2 wins and 1 tie after 8 games.

I heard the same thing last Sunday vs. the Cowboys and their 4th string QB, yet it came down to the last play of the game.

Burrows is a rookie, yes, but probably better then what we saw in Dallas. We all know how that went.

Will Burrows beat the Steelers, hell yeah, just not yet. I don't see him coming into the Burgh and beating us but if we don't have a healthy Ben under center I'm thinking trouble. To be honest, I think Ben could use a rest and would enjoy seeing how Mason handles himself. I have a huge fear of Covid or an injury to Ben ruining a fantastic season.

I agree the 'zero possibilities' scenario is silly, given what happened last week and the Steelers haven't exactly been crushing the competition, Browns game aside. And I also agree that a few flags definitely helped the cause against the Cowboys, but Dallas benefited as well. The early deep ball to Claypool, there was pretty clear interference, that could have resulted in a TD and I think it was on Dallas' 2nd TD, there was a pretty obvious false start, that went uncalled. As you said, penalties and missed penalties, are part of the game.

Burrow has skills and will succeed in this league. That said, one player can’t do everything. Shore up the D, get some offensive weapons and they will be a contender

Mason could beat the Bengals. Even in Cincy with Burrow playing.

Expect 100+ yards on the ground for the Steelers this week, Burrow on the sideline watching his defense.

The Steelers are not playing well and now have a Covid situation. We are undefeated and get every teams best shot.I would say Cincy is in the perfect spot to pounce.

With that being said their D isn’t very good and with Tyson back if we can make them one dimensional we should be able to pressure the Rook into some mistakes.

I think the Bengals might hang around maybe for a half in this game and then the Steelers will pull away in the 2nd half and win something like 31-14. I’ll say it again I am not worried one bit about the Steelers losing this game to the Bengals I just don’t see it happening.

I remember fairly recently the Bengals being in a playoff game with the Steelers and they brought that big ole can of whoop-ass and ended up whooping their own ass with it.

As usual they may give us a game for a bit but they will bungle it away. Once is an anomaly, twice is a coincidence, 3 or more times is a pattern.

Perhaps in time they get really good with Burrow at QB but I don't think their Oline is good enough to handle the Steelers Blitz. If Butler plays man coverage and also brings pressure then Joe will be rattled and make mistakes. If however, Butler sits back and plays zone, Joe will shred this defense as does every other 4th string or better QB in the league.

Butler needs to call a aggressive game, and be blitz heavy against Burrow, they didn't pressure the Cowboys enough and they hung around.

Let’s not overthink the game here, run the ball straight at them and play action pass off of it. Once we get up more than 10 have Ben go no huddle and put the nail in the coffin. As far as Defense, blitz the **** out of the kid. Welcome him to NFL the Steeler way and to the ice bath after the game.

BTW calling for a Pittsburgh Special Teams TD this week, after that **** show in Dallas someone wants to keep their job!

I’m with you get up early in this game by maybe 14 points and the Bengals will pretty much have no chance to come back. If Burrow has to throw essentially every play to try and comeback and win this game if the Bengals fall behind the end result will definitely not end well for the Bengals.

If you're tired of the Bengals and Burrow hype, you're not going to like the next decade or so. Burrows looks like the real deal.
That being said, in his rookie year Baker Mayfield looked like the real deal.
And obviously, last year Lamar Jackson was the real deal.
Time and familiarity have a tendency to bring stars back to earth.
