I really don't care for Twitter but it appears the Bungles haven't learned from their past mistakes. This was apparently on their official Twitter account this morning.

    Duck Hodges responded accordingly.

If Ben starts we should struggle to a 9-0 record. If not, 8-1 and lots of gloating lol

72 Dolphins had more than 1 starting QB.

If the most significant thing for you in the past 15 years is this, then indeed you have a sad history.

An interesting trivia question. How many SB QB's (on either roster) did the Steeler's once have on their roster? Unitas and Morrall are 2 of those names.

Jeez, that's got the brain ticking. Are we just counting SB starters, or clipboard-holders as well?

I would include all, the reason I am to lazy to look. lol The post I responded to about Miami having' 2 starting QB's" brought that to my mind. I knew that Morrall and Unitas (68 SB) and Lenny Dawson (69 sb) were once with the Steelers. I just wondered how many other SB QB's we 'let slip away". Of course that is silly as many players go from team to team, but prior to 1970 seems we let some good ones go. That said, even with those QB's I doubt the Steelrs had the acumen at the time to build a team around them.

Which is amazing. I think they used two QB's to get by a very young Steeler team in AFCCG.

I was thinking of Steve Bono, Bubby Brister and the like as well.

    It’s a good trivia question!

The game was just a little bit different in 1972.

I just watched that playoff game in 72 vs the Dophins. If Bradshaw didn’t get hurt I think Pitt wins that game. On a side note why was that game in Pittsburgh?? Wasn’t Miami undefeated that year?

His career QB rating was 43. 2,510 passing yards, 35% completion rate, 24 td's, 35 int's. He was a Butler, Pa. native. For the non-Yinzers, Butler is roughly 40 miles NE of Pittsburgh. Anyway, Terry seemed to get cut a lot of slack because he was a local boy AND he went to Notre Dame which has a really large S.W. Pa. fan base. Plus, he was drafted in second round of '69, Bradshaw in first round of '70. The way Bradshaw struggled made Hanratty somewhat popular as back ups will get when the starter stinks.

Well, if you ask the lady who sat behind me during his career, he was better than Bradshaw. Every time Bradshaw made a mistake she would notify the entire section “put Hanratty in”. I thought it was his mom.
