Looks like we may start Rudolph. Doesn’t matter, with or without Ben playing we need our defense to win us this one. They are 2-5-1 and not some juggernaut like some feel. Burrow is pretty good and seems like able at least. Yawn

I'm curious why you say MR will start? Sirius NFL said last night that as long as Ben didn't test positive he would start? He was just placed on the list because of his close contact with McDonald...... right?

But I thought we were doomed with Rudolph at QB? :confused1:

Yes but since you say we are doomed every week that means we will win again lol

Ben can't practice this week and Rudolph will get all the reps. If Ben continues to test negative for Covid, will he be #2 QB?

Didn't something like this happen a few years back with Landry Jones? Jones got the start and got hurt. Ben dressed as #2 and ended up starting and beating Browns or some team like that.

I've spoken to a few league folks who have mentioned they expect Ben to start and this had just as much to do with a "workaround" way to make him rest up after injuring both knees. We'll see!

Mason could beat the Bengholios in Pittsburgh. Too much defense for poor Joe. Now if Butler decides to soft zone the game again, Ben will have to play.

A key part of the Steelers' offense that is present now but not the last time MR started is a healthy set of weapons. All RBs are healthy. All WRs are healthy. Take out Vince, but we have Ebron healthy. So, that should improve the situation.

If Ben starts I think this should be another win. This is a bad matchup for the Bengals, their offensive line is poor and may not be able to deal with the Steelers blitz if they go after Burrow. The Bengals defence is better than last year but I think Ben will pick them apart over the course of the game.

If Ben tests positive for Covid then all bets are off and it’s a 50/50 where the defence will need to make a few big plays. I’d be mildly curious to see if there is any progression with Mason since last year. It didn’t look like it during his brief cameo last Sunday but that was a small sample size

Mason was good or bad last year. He was honestly just super meh. I think he'd be better if thrust into a single-game situation and you're completely correct about more weapons.
