Experiencing any jealousy?

Just curious if anyone is getting any snide remarks from other team fans about our record?????

Twice today I got the old stand-by, "they could be one of the worse ever 8-0 teams."
My response, "better then being one of best ever 0-8 teams."

This one freaked me out. The Eagles have better chance of winning their division then the Steelers. For a moment I was like how the hell......... but giving it some thought, it's true.

 

Nope!!


As for the people who say "we could be (insert record here", my rebuttal is swift and clear;


"Two things can be true here. Yes, we could be (insert record here) but we are 8-0 instead!"

 

Did somebody mention the Eagles?

 

We are 8-0. Beat the eagles. Beat 3 5+ win teams in a row too.

 

This morning even I said we are the worst 8-0 team.

The media still doesnt give us much respect, but the people i talk with seem to ask " when did the Steelers get so good?"

Actually, I'm pretty good friends with my football friends who are fans of other teams, and they've been more congratulatory than anything, even the Bengals and Browns fans.

 

Cowboys fans were upset when Steelers won yesterday. No credit nothing lol. Online fans were expecting a blowout before the game but afterwards they were mad because it was within reach.

 

we're also the best 8-0 team as well..... oh wait.... we're the only 8-0 team!!!!!

 

I was thinking these yesterday. How many Cowboys fans were hoping for an upset of the hated Steelers, only to have their hopes dashed? How many Browns and Ravens fans were watching the game, sure of a needed Steelers loss, also to have their hopes dashed?

 

A friend texted me earlier, stating 'It's hard to believe the Steelers have never been 8-0 before'. Other than that, pretty much radio silence (Steelers-wise). That's rare for this crew. There are 9 of us in a group text and other than 2 brothers, we each follow a different team.

Obviously their fans are the ones who attack me. Sure if I lived around any of the other 30 teams it would be their fans getting on me.

 

We are, unquestionably, the absolute worst 8-0 team in the history of this franchise.

 

My Anti Steeler hater Buddies...The personal foul, hands to the face penalty against Ben...I had 3 texts, 30 seconds after it happened... complaining to ME! Like I threw the flag!

Mostly a few Ravens fans here and their being idiots per usual.

 

It's True Eagles are 78% chance of winning NFC east
Steelers are currently at 72% of winning AFC North

 

Seems like no matter how well Steelers do people will discredit them until they lose, then they will go “I told you so”.

I think Tampa has more Steeler fans than Buc fans. All I'm hearing is "it didn't end well for the Bucs." Clairvoyance?

 

I've been surrounded by Bengals fans for 23 years now. They know better. Some of them still attempt to rip on my team but most of them know better by now. The banter doesn't get them very far. You can bet your bottom dollar though that if the Bungles beat the Steelers this week I will hear it from every angle and it will be about 2 weeks long or more. When we beat them I don't speak a word unless it's brought up.
