On Monday night the Buccaneers had only 5 rushing attempts the whole game. The Patriots only rushed 6 times against the Steelers in 2004. Just thought it was an interesting stat.

New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Oct. 31, 2004: The Patriots had to abandon the run early in this game after falling behind 24-3 in the first half. Brady ended up throwing 43 passes in a game where the Patriots rushed just six times for five yards. The Patriots were 6-0 going into this game, but fell to 6-1 after losing to the Steelers. The Patriots' leading rusher was Kevin Faulk, who had five carries for 4 yards. Final score: Steelers 34-20 over Patriots.

I think that was the year the Patriots and Eagles came into da Burgh undefeated and we gave both of them their first loss of season. I think their were fans with signs saying, "you're welcome Miami."

Just strange seeing that we had the Brady led Patriots down 24-3.

Here's another one you can store away Roller - Steelers just won back to back road games where they trailed by more than 10 points at halftime for the first time since...................1953. There's a good chance though that the Steelers were behind by more than 10 points in every game that year. :drinks:

I saw that stat at the end of the game. There was a kneel down there at the end by the Bucs back up and that counted as a rush attempt, so they actually only had 4 real carries!

My favorite defensive stat this year is that the Defense has given up fewer points than the team scored in every contest so far.

Here's a stat that I really like which will never ever be duplicated. The final 9 games of the 1976 regular season saw the Steelers give up a total of 28 points while putting goose eggs up on the board for 5 of those contests. Three other of those 9 games they only allowed 4 total FG's. Those final 9 games the Steelers outscored the competition 234-28.
