Not pretty. But wow. Best start in Steeler history. Still should have kicked the field goal though. Lol.

He ties Marty Shottenheimer (sp?) with 14 consecutive to start a career.

The only reason you say that is his playoffs’ record. Tomlin is already a winner in the playoffs, you kidding me?

Didn't understand not trying to kick the field goal where we might have gone up by 8. I'd have been a hell of a lot more confident up by 8 with a no name QB having to bring his team back.

Look forward to see what is said in his press conference.

That's exactly why. And what, again, has been Tomlin's playoff record the last 11 years?

Not dissing him. Just don't want him getting Marty's rep.

Yeah, I thought he didn’t live in his fears? I generally don’t bash Tomlin too much, but that was a terrible decision.

They had been killing us up the middle on field goal and extra point attempts. 8 points is no guarantee while a first down is

He also ties Marty Schottenheimer for most seasons without a losing record with 14!

You still got to go for the FG to put you up by 8. If they happen to block another one then you tip your hat to Dallas and Fire Danny Smith in the locker room.

Then you have to stop them from scoring a TD. That doesn't change kicking a FG from being the higher percentage play.

Then he's got a case of the yipps but you still have to put him in that position to try and seal it with an 8 point lead.

Don't get how they can't get that fixed during the game. All you have to do is tell the snapper to stand straight up after the snap, and he can't legally do that anymore

Then Tomlin goes to sleep knowing he made the correct call win or lose. The correct call there was to kick the FG.

well my wife doesn't care about anything but the final score and at least she's happy! I hate it when the steelers lose because she's in a really bad mmod for days afterward!

Others will disagree, but not me. I thought Marty was one hell of a fine head coach.

He was... until the game mattered.

Edit: some of that could be bad luck. But over the course of a very long career? It's him.

Couldn't agree more. Had he won a Super Bowl he would have been a no brainer HOF coach.
