I like Spillane, but he should not have been out there on obvious passing downs, and yes i agree with your statement about Edmonds.

Edmunds saved the game against Denver, he also has a career high in PBUs this season.

Edmunds value is in the box Minkah is best in the shorter zones as well as Teams want to pass quickly ..We are running the wrong Defense when we run Cover 2.. We need to run single High , but we have no single high capable guy on the Defense ...I swear this D could play lights out if they had some speed and jumping and catching ability at the single high Safety.. I seen a guy like that on our Roster , but oh well ...

Edmunds is allergic to making plays. His brother in Buffalo suffers a bit from it too.

Guys like Minkah and Hilton always seem to be around the ball, in good position, ready to make a play.

Edmunds isn't getting embarrassed like he has in previous seasons, but he's not doing anything to get himself that 5th year option.

They dont get him in the box enough.. He should play short zone or blitz he rarely does either .. Mostly they have him as deep half in Cover 2 he is not good at that ..

I think Edmonds is one of the better open field tacklers on the team.
