Injury Updates

Looks like Hayward and Tyson are both highly questionable. Hilton also still nicked. We are pretty much crushed on D

 

Hopefully they can handle the injuries this week, the Cowboys are in much worse shape than the Steelers. Disaster of a season for them

 

A good week to rest them. Steelers should be able to handle the Cowboys without those players. Will need them for the Bengals game though. Let them heal up this week.

 

What's up with Heyward? I thought I heard something about it just being a cramp... did it turn out to be a thigh contusion? Something worse?

 

They said quad injury. The question is if that is a pull or a bruise. If it is a bruise, I'd let him play if he can. If it is pulled, they may have to sit him rather than risk a more severe injury.

As I mentioned on another thread, one small glimmer of hope the Cowboys might have is facing the Steelers without Heyward, Alualu, and Wormley.

I hope Tomlin is just playing games by avoiding the question in Wisniewski. The team has to decide to activate him or sit for the rest of the season this week. I know the reserves have held up well without him, but I would still feel a lot better with him available in case Pouncey gets hurt.

 

Don’t forget Bush as well. That is just another layer to that area of D. We are going to be playing Tuitt V Williams and a bunch of PS level players. Not a good feeling.

 

And Mike Hilton, he plays a big part in run support.

All the talking heads gushing about the Ravens running all over the #1 run D don’t seem to have accounted for how decimated the Steelers run defence was after Alualu went down on that first drive.

Zeke Eliot is not playing well but if he starts finding some lanes early in this one he could have a big day on Sunday.

 

Sounded to me like Wisniewski is destined to ir. Also sounds like we won't see Hilton this Sunday.

Only Alulu Wiz were out today. I would certainly think Tyson will be out Sunday. Interesting on Wiz that he was activated but apparently still injured?

hilton and Buggs were limited. Hoping Hilton can be full tomorrow to give him a legit chance. Hoping Buggs is just precautionary.

Hayward wasn’t even listed and appears fine for Sunday which is a great surprise.

 

Wisniewski was activated, and Gilbert was placed on IR today.

 

Don't like seeing Buggs heading in the wrong direction.

 

Hopefully Buggs is a full go tomorrow. There are not a lot of options on the Interior Defensive Line.

 

With both Tyson and now Buggs looking to be out we will need some real depth on the DL to step up. Hilton still looks to not be ready as well unfortunately

Yes that was my reading of it too. They hope he can contribute down the stretch but he is not ready yet. The emergence of Dotson means they are ok in any case.

 

He's real close, from what they say...Plus having UGIII going down.... It was an easy swap

 

Looks like Buggs is good to go. Don't like seeing 'illness' next to McDonald's name.

Sucks for Hilton.... Maybe next week.

 

Illness is certainly a concern related to COVID. If that isn't the issue, but McDonald can't go, at least they get Watt back this week.

I'd like to see Hilton return as well, but the Steelers damn well should be able to beat the Cowboys without their nickel cornerback.

Vance McDonald sent home with illness. Sure hope ‘rona doesn’t spread. I hate the Ravens.

Tyson is out and Hilton will be following him. Very concerned now about Mikes shoulder it doesn’t seem to be improving. Bad news on McDonald with Covid now we have to see if this has spread to anyone else in the next 48 hours.....
