Bengals have scored 27+ points in 5 of their 8 games with Burrows back there. 4 of those games have been 30 points or more. I'm not being a Bungle/Burrows homer. I'm just saying don't sleep on them with our 2 games coming up. The rookie is for real.

And Ben's passing yardage is nothing special. In today's offense minded NFL it seems QB's have to throw for at least 300 yards a game but I don't think Ben has had any games like that.

The Bengals haven't faced a pass rush like the Steelers, and their OL isn't good.

Shows how good we are. Offense can score when they need to, defense gets pressure, boz is money, and return game is now good. Coaching has been great. Complete team.

ben has 15 tds and 4 picks with a 99 rating. Not bad for an old guy...

Ben has kept it really simple which is a good thing. He will need to add more downfield plays as the season progresses however. I don’t know if it’s a gameplan thing or if it’s Ben not trusting that arm but we will be too easy to play against in the postseason if teams don’t fear the downfield ball.

If Ben can hit the deep ball we are probably unstoppable. Hasn’t really hit it all year though lol

They will need it in the playoffs if they are to prevail. The better teams will not let you live off short passes and yards after the catch. Ravens did a good job taking it away on Sunday.

Steelers have not even played a complete game yet. That is what it is so great about being 7-0, so much more potential and we have not peaked. Would be very nice to peak on Thanksgiving evening in front of a National audience and be 11-0 afterwards.

His long balls are being way long.

And long balls can really cause some pain.

His "long balls" were instrumental in several PI calls against the Ratbirds. (Albeit a few of them looked uncatchable). But hey, I'll take that all day long. Moves the chains just the same.

Complete team effort. Defense scoring. Special teams giving nice returns. Reversed with Claypool. Running. Throwing. And the offense is only going to get better the more Ben gets into it.

This season really can be special.

This is a great team.. it's been a long time since we've had such a complete team.. 2010 our defense was waning, but we could put up points. 2008 our offense was a glaring weakness overcome by a generational defense. You might have to go back to the 70s to find a Steelers team more complete in all facets of the game. Even our special teams are stellar with Ray Ray and Boz. Coverage has been outstanding as well.

Off topic here but does Joe have an invisible s on his jersey? I see Burrows so much that it causes me to question something I just confirmed.:huh1:

    Hey Stone.

This is what I have been saying the whole time along. IMO, Ben is just getting "re-calibrated" in a sense. Remember, he lost most of last year. So he really never played in a game situation with the following until the first game of this season:
    • Claypool
    • Ebron
    • Dionate Johnson
Ben only played the preseason with DJ last season, for what that was worth, and a little more than one game in the regular season before he got hurt.
Then Ben had to get re-familiar with:
    • JuJu
    • Washington (I am looking for him to get "his" one of these days real soon.)
    • Conner
    • McDonald
    • Samuels
My point is this: IMO, Ben and this Offense are just getting to know one another. Each week the chemistry becomes stronger. As you stated Stone: Ben is just "warming up". Again, so true IMO also. I have been saying this all season.

Remember the talk of thirty points per game from yester-year? Why not thirty to forty ? We have more weapons than that era which was primarily Bell, AB and Bryant. For now, I do not think that anyone on this squad is as good as AB or Bell. HOWEVER, we have so many more toys in the play chest versus then as I have been saying all off-season. Too many IMO for opposing teams to be able to deal with. So again, why not thirty to forty points per game?

The 'issue" as I see it is getting the touches around to everyone. So far, no signs of selfishness which is a good thing and what I expect from a bunch of Professionals.

Another Steelers stat they have 3 players with at least 6 sacks, I don't know if they ever had 3 players with double digit sacks in a season.

Tuitt is as integral as any player on defense. It’s been an absolute joy seeing him put it all together this year.

Just a point- you have to add the 2020 Seahawks to the list, who have scored 27+ in every game. In fact, except for the one 27 pt showing, they've scored 34+ in all their other games.

problem for the bengals is that for every 27+ their offense scores, their defense gives up 35
