The reason there was no production from Juju and Conner is because the Steelers don't have a legitimate offensive coordinator. And oh by the way, offensive coordinator reports directly to Tomlin.

I guess you forgot about JuJu and Conner being injured last season, their lack of production had nothing to do with the OC, try again .

Please verify that you think Futchner is a good OC?

    Please?

They're averaging over 26 points a game this season, he's good enough.

    That's stupid, even for you.

I'll give you three guesses and the first two don't count why our offense is looking good this year.

    Take your time.

Try not to say anything else foolish.

Just for comparison, the league wide average so far this year is 25.65.

This is up 16% over last year. Likely due to lack of ITA and preseason. It will be interesting to see if the average comes down as the season progresses?

He is. We are doing fairly well this year, he had Moe and Larry for quarterbacks last year and had the number 4 offense the year before.

Did someone say something good or bad about Tomlin that I can disagree or agree with? Good, I must be in the right place.

Where do I start? This one stings a little. Tomlin is checking off some boxes this year that a HC should check off. And he's navigating the team through the pandemic. Even I can't be entirely critical of him in this situation. And it's not even about the victories as much, even though important. He's got this team "together." He's got them believing in each other and playing for each other. They weren't necessarily doing that during the diva era. They are playing with a focus and resolve that hasn't been around here in a while. Maybe it's accountability. Maybe it's without selfishness. Can't quite put my finger on it, but it's palpable. This team is different...driven...hungry.

That has got his stamp on it. It has to. He deserves credit for the product on the field, and that product is high quality. The wins are a part of that, but I don't credit him for the wins as much as what transpired between the wins. To me, that's more important. Good job, so far, Mike.

Now, I'm contractually obligated to find something to temper my praise with. I don't have to look far. The gametime/halftime adjustments that seemed to be far superior to years past came flooding back on Sunday like a lava flow, destroying everything good in their path. The Titans made good adjustments, we just made ourselves look foolish. Just like Ben has to clean up his act, so does Mike. I feel like he does something right and is surprised by it. He isn't even certain what he did right, so he doesn't know how to fix it when it stops working. And all the praise for the other teams getting the better of you is annoying. They are being paid to succeed just like you are. We all get that. But he feels he doesn't have to, or shouldn't, change what doesn't work because the opposition is also trying to win, and changing what we're doing would be a disservice to the opposition. His words.

So he deserves credit for being a big part of the changes that are taking place on this team, changes that are the main reason for us being undefeated. But he also deserves blame for being too stubborn, or stupid, to change anything and everything that isn't working. That just might keep us from a W or two this season, or maybe from winning it all.

In sports its how you finish. With the steelers having the 2nd easiest schedule this season, it'll fool the Rooneys in thinking they have a great coach. ( Rats have the easiest)
