So if Tremaine had been available in the draft instead of Terrell, the Steelers wouldn't have drafted him and played him inside... Ha!
Tomlin wanted Tremaine so bad he tried to compensate by getting the other two Edmunds brothers.

He was never going to be though. Consensus Top 20 Pick. Heck, some thought he could have gone Top 10.

There's a difference between being right and being a pompous, obnoxious tool. But yeah, he's usually right. Just ask him. And I didn't always do my homework and still aced tests. Sometimes people do homework because they don't know the material and still fail miserably. That's why every single time, without fail, that I call him out on something he brings up my opinion about Switzer from over a year ago. That's all he's got to "defeat" my current, unrelated points, an opinion of mine that he never had a defense for.

So I agree with you that he likes to be right, does his homework, and opens his piehole. :drinks:

There's a HUGE difference between you and scribe. Although you and I disagree quite a bit, you're never a tool about it. I don't mind disagreeing and "arguing" with you over Tomlin and other issues of contention because you state your case, make good points, and we mostly just agree to disagree. That's how it should be.

I don't lead with insults. They are retaliation. But most of my insults are already loaded and have names on them. You have just recently started to annoy me with your insipid responses, but scribe has been a tool for quite a while. I have no problem agreeing with either one of you publicly when I actually agree with you. But when scribe gets his little girl panties all bunched up and tries to defend an illogical point by saying that I'm not a fan with some passive-aggressive nonsense and by bringing up a year-old argument about Switzer that only HE thinks he won, I fire back with an insult. It's not my fault or my problem that you inserted yourself into the crossfire.

I do not suffer fools or idiots. I insult them. That's how I roll.

I've had a few rounds with Scribe myself. He can get caustic & never forgets. Nothing against you Glory Days but I'm with Scribe on the impact that Bush has had on the defense this year. Teams didn't want to run east & west. The screen pass was not working for our opponents. Not sure about his coverage (no 22 thing) but I don't recall many tes tearing us up. The games I've been able to see, Bush had the awesome sauce.

That's fair, but I never said he was bad. I just don't feel he has taken as big a step forward as I had hoped. He has, as I pointed out, been better in coverage and with the calls. He looked lost a lot last season. I hadn't seen that this season. So that is a definite improvement. I just expected more dominating plays. He has been solid, but not outstanding. I was hoping, at least, for something in between.

I was pimping him for ROY last year. Have lowered my expectations after I was trounced on. :lolol:

About his injury, looks like he tried to change direction mid air & planted wrong with his left leg.

See too many non-contact injuries like that. Big, strong men can put a LOT of torque on a relatively stable joint real quick.

Scribe is usually right, but he does go overboard with his hatred of Edmunds. He's almost as bad as SDOT with Harrison.

I know, but that's not the point. If Tomlin could get Tremaine today in a deal that made sense he'd do it, and he'd play him in the middle. Half inch or not.

As I said, I would be all for it. I also said one of the issues is cost. I would assume that Tremaine would cost a First alone and I am seriously low balling that.

Tremaine Edmunds has not shown me he is worth that much. Minkah on the other hand?! Minkah showcased playmking ability in his Rookie Season with Miami; especially down the stretch of the 2018 season. That alone was more than worth giving up a first.

After Minkah, who can say but I don’t see them giving up a 1st rd pick two years in a row.

Would be something else having Tremaine and Bush together next year. Yikes.

It's unfortunate that others deserve insulting. That's a big problem we have today. So many people want to blame the cleanup crew for doing their job and not the people making the mess to begin with.

In football terms, it's not the dude who throws the first punch that usually gets flagged.

Indeed it would. I still have some concerns about Tremaine's height though. 6'5 is really pushing it for an ILB.

I understand that Tremaine has FREAKISH agility and fluidity for a man his height. That said, the leverage aspect concerns me. Someone like Nick Chubb would definitely take advantage of that for sure.

Even ignoring all of that, then comes another issue. Would Pittsburgh pick up Minkah's, Terrell's and Tremaine's fifth year option all at once?! That would mark a first since the 2011 CBA. No team with multiple 1st Round picks have picked up options for both.

Side note; I seriously doubt Cleveland is picking up Baker's. Denzel Ward though is a keeper. His click and close ability is insane.

I'll stop, but hopefully it stops from the other side as well. Just because "someone" hides the insult behind some passive-aggressive bs, it doesn't make it any less of an insult.
