Who remembers this Greg Lloyd hit on Brett Favre?

When I really came into liking football and understanding the game it was with the hiring of Bill Cowher and the Steelers defense led by Lloyd. I was young enough during Lambert and Mean Joe that they didn't stand out for me. But Greg Lloyd man I still remember that Monday night game vs the Bills when the Bills were wining AFCCG for 4 yrs in a row. The Steelers knocked out like 6 of the Bills that night, Thomas, Reed, Beebe, Kelly and more. They just bullied that all star roster.

That full cage mask was just intimidating and I'd always try to find it years later on Madden when you could pick your equipment. God I miss the 90's lol.

 

yes Vick did the wrong but he paid strong he's straight w me and I am glad we gave him some game time at that time in his career, I remember the td throw to win that night game, i f I remember right

Thanks.. There have been so many freakish athletes over the years in the NFL and Kirkland is at the top of the list for me. A guy that huge chasing down runners and going stride for stride with Tight Ends down the field, just an insane and wonderful player.

He would’ve probably been the Super Bowl XXX MVP too if O’Donnell didn’t throw those soul crushing interceptions

 

I remember that game, they had a safety Gary Jones he knocked out Beebe.

Lol.....I got to meet him 2yrs ago. It was awesome getting to talk to him about that hit on 4, and also talking old Steelers football...

He signed a huge pic of that hit on 4 for me....Great guy...

btw I said to him “ Man, I remember that hit on Brett”.
