I don't think there is much of a drop-off with today's medical break-throughs. I also would guess that the severity of the tear will play a part.

Spillane actually played well in his place. Let's hope he can continue.

I understand you're just posting someone else's tweet, but that last name on the list...yuck!

Huge bummer on otherwise perfect day

Spillane wasn't terrible today, but this certainly hurts and it couldn't come at a worse time with the Titans and Ravens the next two weeks. They are going to miss Bush's athleticism a great deal in those two games.

Not a big Jarrad Davis fan personally. Was a high fan of his coming into the 2017 NFL Draft. He is good but not great to keep around.

Don't wish injury on anyone, but I don't feel like Bush was helping us as much as he should have been. I felt like he was struggling to get involved this year.

He'll be as good as new once he's healed up though

I mean, I think as a one year thing its fine. Lee, Reddick, and Davis all seem like natural fits and there may be some interest on our side. The other list is full of has-beens. I'd be surprised if we didnt make a move at this point. We need depth at least, but I would imagine that the FO sees us as a SB contender this year. No reason not to try to get someone that will start.

I mean, I will not be mad at Kevin nor Tomlin for getting Jarrad Davis as they have been to his Pro Day. At the very least, they know what he can do. Now, how much does Detroit want for him is going to be a big question mark moving forward.

Fair enough of some of this.

However, one thing you cannot teach; speed and athleticism. Devin Bush has both in absolute spades. No one else on the roster can replicate what he can do.

That said, I do agree with some that Kevin Colbert is likely to make a move.

They didn't pick up his 5th year option, so I'd imagine the asking price would be low. They're 2-3 and in a division with the 5-1 Bears and soon to be 4-1 Packers... I'd imagine a mid-late round pick should do it. Grab for a 4th or 5th round pick. I'm sure they would be fine getting something for a player they are likely going to let walk for nothing after the season.

5th I doubt personally. 4th is doable. 3rd is way too rich. That said, that is what I expect Detroit to ask Pittsburgh for.

TBH a 4th rounder would be an overspend, but we might be forced to overspend if we cant get another good player elsewhere. Any LBer that could potentially get traded here would be ecstatic though. Get a starting role on a top end defense that'd poised for a playoff run... all of this in a contract year? hell yeah.

It was awkward the way he went down. Was hoping for the best but this aint it.

    Get well soon.

Yeah we would laugh at a 3rd round price tag for a rental. They know that though, and there are enough other players we could grab for a better price. TBH it wouldn't shock me if they just gave him away. They obviously need the picks and are planning on losing him for nothing anyways. As long as the pick we trade equals or betters their potential compensatory return (which I doubt is high), I think they would be game.

Yeah, woof. That sucks. The good news is that ACL tears aren't as career changing as they used to be. He should be fine and ready to go next season.
