    Nice thread!

It's a great way to look at Canada since the Steelers always promote from within, get him in so he can fill the void created by Fitchner (whether he's still here or not).

We know he's not a Tomlin guy because Tomlin doesn't need any help with cliche`s.

I don't see him being a Rooney guy because there doesn't seem to be any political angle.

    I'd say Colbert.

Media equals politics so my guess is the media is just trying to stir up trouble between the USA and Canada.

Cant really dispute Canada had influence over the Eagles game. OMG.. Matt Canada and Claypool owned the Eagles secondary. 4 TDS from CAnada and really 5

Agree with Canada's influences in the Eagles game. I might even say we may have lost that game without his influence with all the receiver sweeps, 4 man receivers on the same side, etc.

That one bunch formation on the left, which was basically 3 guys blocking for Claypool, was 100% Canada's influence.

Suck at being an OC and bow down to Ben? I honestly feel the offense has been pretty good this year so he has to get some credit right? I mean it cant be all Canada??

I think our coaches work together, at least I would hope they do.

    Plus Ben over Duck?

Fichtner did just fine the year before Ben got hurt. You can only do so much with what you have?

we have fun bunch formations for years. We have fun bubble screens people always complained about. Just a different way of running these same plays. There are articles saying it's fichtner and Canada together with this offense. Much of it is not new, just the execution and some tweeking. We used to run a lot of these things with AB. Many teams run this stuff. There is a fine line with getting away with the blocking of these plays. I believe we were called for it a couple of years ago with AB near the goal line. Within 1 yard of the LOS if I remember correctly. If Canada is helping that's good but too many are passing it off as all his inovation and fichtner is a buffoon. Not the case.

The bunch TD was an illegal play. The NFL rule states no one can block downfield before the pass is caught and it doesn't matter where the pass is caught. We got away with it on that play.

Fitchner + a sack of hammers > Fitchner

    Fitchner + a colonoscopy > Fitchner

Fitchner + dick in a light socket > Fitchner

you didn't complain when ben threw for over 5,000 yards two years ago but had no defense. only since he couldn't win a super bowl with backups and practice squad players last year. He's 4-0 right now but he's the dick. Really stone?

This is probably a good place to insert the tidbit that Chase Claypool actually is Canadian. Abbotsford Canada.

For those of you who failed geography, Abbotsford is right between Chilliwack and White Rock.

Wolf called it the "diamond" formation. And I'd have to go back and watch it again, but I don't know if there was actually any blocking before the catch.

Okay, rewatched it. Yeah, there was blocking JUST before the catch. It was really close. But technically, you're right. Probably got away with one.

I viewed it again, it was basically a tie but if you apply "before the pass is caught" than in replay I would have to say that your call is correct

Malachias Seal Island. Just had an article about this place pop up on Google the other day. It is currently the longest disputed border fight between the US and Canada. A worthless hunk of rock that both sides claim. The Canadian's maintain a lighthouse on the island and say its theirs, a man from Maine spent his life running bird watching tours to the island and claimed it was gifted to his family and is US territory and neither country cares enough to settle it lol. It was a fascinating read though. The guys last living desendant thinks its something that would strike our current President 's fancy and he would settle it. Who knows .

The officiating was so incredibly incompetent so it does not even matter. Both teams got away with some seriously egregious plays. The end result is what matters for me.

    Pittsburgh wins.

I'm having fun reading Browns message boards. I'm not participating, just lurking. They are saying we get away with the most egregious penalties that are not called. Apparently, we run illegal picks every pass play and never get called for offensive pass interference. Never? Never???????

Oh the Browns fans. So much passion, so little gray matter.

Let them say want they so desire. They are 4-1. Last time that happened, that Coach who shall not be named in Boston had coached them to that back in 1994.
