He sucks. He’s slow, his patient style already figured out, his pass catching abilities is no longer anything special as others do it just as good or better. He over estimated his worth just a tad...

I'm more frankly more surprised they haven't fired Adam Gase yet.

Maybe there is someone on our practice squad that they'd be interested in.

You said it before and I still agree. I'd be all in on Sam Darnold. His career is being scuttled by a poorly run organization. I believe he would flourish here.

    Same here.

A stable, well run Organization developing a very talented yet very young QB with immense potential?! Last time this happened for Pittsburgh we won two rings and still have that same guy under center. Imagine if Big Ben shows Darnold the ropes?!?!

He likely could care less, but he'd get some respect from Steeler Nation if he acknowledge that some of his success was due to the talent he was surrounded with while he was a member of the Steelers.

There is no such thing as a perfectly run organization. However, the Rooney's have a 50 year track to prove that stability, hiring quality people and allowing them to do their jobs equal results. Darnold would likely have to be counseled for culture shock if he somehow ends up a Steeler.

No to any qb from USC. Darnold hasn't shown anything worth trading for.

No to Bell also, he is a pasture horse.

The jets ate a huge amount of money releasing him. He must have gone full blown head case

I think Darnold has the physical tools and aptitude to be a very good NFL QB. He is simply with a bad organization.

So now, I wonder if someone will sign him. Or has he effectively wrecked his career?

It's not happening, Darnold's fifth year option would be a problem with the cap, and Ben is expected to sign a contract extension in the offseason. Darnold isn't going to sit the bench for say 3 years waiting for Ben to retire.
