He should have had 5 TD's. The OPI was a joke. Definitely Offensive Player of the Week.

Nice pick Colbert and Tomlin. It's hard to believe this guy lasted into the 2nd round. He's playing like he was drafted in the top 5 of the first round.

It took AB a few years to get rolling. Claypool looks like he could easily match AB's production and then some. Problem is, after Ben retires... will the Steelers have a QB good enough to get him the ball consistently?

The Steelers have their faults, particularly at drafted and developing top-end defensive players, but Pittsburgh is a powerhouse at developing wide receivers. People forget Diontoe didn't play much yesterday and is a huge weapon for Ben.

Ben never has bad receivers, even Switzer had potential under his wing. The AB made Ben better argument is as Heinz would say "doomed".

I never rate a guy boom or bust until his third year but this kid looks good from every direction! Let's hope he doesn't too many skeletons.

I like his physicality and sure hands and body control. He looks like the real deal.

Only complaint is his nickname "Mapletron" which seems not as cool as it should be.

I turned my tv to GMF this morning , ( cant stand that show ) but anyway they was calling him "Optimus prime" , because of his attitude and his physical nature ..... i like that nickname better than "Mapletron"

He looks like a slightly bigger Larry Fitzgerald.

He has things you can’t teach, size and speed, he’s a physically freak. Add to it the tools he has and you have the recipe for a big time elite receiver.

It was only one game and he can still struggle now that he has DC’s attention but I don’t think so, I never bought into the criticism of him.

Time will tell, he needs to do it with the extra attention he is going to get now.

I had two friends get married this weekend, neither are Steelers fans, one is a Browns fan, the other a Saints fan, but both are in my fantasy football league, the guy who is a Saints fan had Claypool but on his bench.

I asked them we scored more over the weekend, them on their wedding nights or Chase Claypool?

They both said Chase Claypool.. hahaha...

I'm honestly not taking anything away from the kid, but he snuck up on the Eagles. He said himself that he didn't expect that much of a role in the offense. The Eagles didn't have him in their defensive gameplan. The Browns will.

This will be a good test for us, because Garrett and co. will have their ears pinned back. Ben won't have much time to let routes develop. The OL will be playing uphill all game long. If they can hold, we win. Baker won't hurt us like the other qb's we've faced. None of them really got rattled too much, even with all the pressure. Baker will get rattled and will make enough mistakes to keep their scoring low. We already know we can contain Hunt.

I had already said that after the draft he has superstar potential. I also had thought he needed time as I was expecting the "Sophomore Surge" from Diontae Johnson. Sadly, that has not happened; Chase being pressed into action far earlier than I would have liked.

That said, who cares at this point?! Chase is not just producing but shining all the same. There is one more shoutout I would like to give here..

Big shout out to Ike Hilliard as well. I do understand that Chase is, by all accounts, a freak. However, two aspects can be true here:

He beat up Darius Slay some. That is a good first start. Let us see if Denzel Ward Jr. is up to task. He has been having a great season but has been going unnoticed. Definitley another big time challenge.

The Browns secondary isn't that good, I'm more worried about their pass rush, and the Steelers have injuries on the OL.

Teams that start keying on Claypool will have to deal with an open JuJu.

The Stains haven't looked good defensively all year. They have been blessed with the other team turning the ball over. Agree about Baker the turnover maker.

They don't have to have looked good before they play us. It's the AFC North. Strange things happen when we play in the division. Our OL is going to have its hands full.

Browns offense is going to have it's hands full when Baker has to pass, which he will. I say we sweep both the Ohio wantabes & possibly the Rats. Just need to not turn the ball over & AFCN is ours imo.

Lamar is a worry defensively. We are looking pretty good stopping the run so far. Burrow & Baker haven't really impressed me this year. Browns defense is wobbly, Bengals d a little better than I thought but not as good as ours. Ravens d is one of best but we have a solid warhorse qb that wins games when not giving the ball away.
