Married the woman that I was supposed to marry. Loved me some Valerie.

She's put on a little weight, but she's still adorable. Her and Brooke Shields.

Been fighting it a while now. Cigarettes, cocaine and throat cancer probably all go hand in hand. RIP EVH

Yes she was. Her Co-star on One Day at a Time Mackenzie Phillips was a train wreck.

Yeah, I read today that he was diagnosed with throat cancer in 2000. I never knew.

Pretty terrible news today for me considering Eddie was the reason I picked up a guitar 35 years ago. I'm a huge fan, and am glad I got to see them live 4 times. Sad to know I won't again.

That picture reminds me of a saying my friend always says when a young hot chick is on golf course, "it's good to be young".

RIP Sir. He and I shared a few trivial things - both played guitar (he was a just slightly better ;)), same first name, same full initials (EVH), attended the same Junior College (PCC) in Pasadena CA, both emigrated to Cali, he from Holland - me from Pgh. He claims that he believes he contracted tongue and esophagus cancer from putting his renowned metal picks in his mouth all those years and hanging out in studios full of electromagnet equipment because even though he smoked like a fish his whole life, his lungs were in perfect shape.

Here's a video clip I recorded of Eddie doing his concert Eruption solo when we saw VH in 2015. We were sitting at the back of the amphitheater, which holds around 5,000 but there were about another 15,000 to 18,000 people on the lawn seating behind us. It was a great show.

I was thinking more of the mac daddyo "what's cookin'" variety, but you have a point.

RIP Eddie. Off topic, I was just here with my son. Mojave knows where. I waved when I was at the intersection of 395 and Phelan road. Hope you saw me! Sabrina.jpg

I haven't been all the way up there yet - it was still closed from snow and then Covid when I tried earlier this year. Did you camp or rent a cabin? Hope it was a good stay.

The only campground still open was Sabrina. Went back down to Motel 6. Amazing how many people have Mondays off!

Interesting. Hope Tom Bodette left the porch light on for you - although it would be impossible to see with all the smoke lingering at the valley floor. The air looks clear up at Sabrina - assuming that was a recent capture.
