Really sucks! Saturday was always exciting because our boys will be playing soon. Now we got nothing, just like those damn bye weeks. Just will look forward to seeing how other teams in our division fair and I hope it's bad.

I would have thought that the NFL would or are required to consult with the NFLPA about anything impacting the players, etc. No?

I don't know about it not being adequate. Sure, the game is delayed to another week but we still are on track to play a 16 game schedule as of right now. NFL took the PC way out because it could based on other teams bye weeks. Not a perfect solution but we've played more consecutive weeks of ball before. Now, this could change but as of right now, we are scheduled to see all 16 games played by the Pittsburgh Steelers this year. As of right now. Wasn't too long ago that many didn't even know there would be a season and now all the bs because it didn't go exactly like a normal season. Wow.

Bull****! They might not even play next week. Why are they rushing to schedule our game? Lets wait to see if the Titans can even play any games within the next 3 weeks.

So week 7 was originally the Titans bye? And I guess they are moving the Ravens bye to week 7 and we play them the following week.

Works for now I guess. If they get jammed up with more cancellations, they’ll need to add them on to the end of the season.

You guys act like they never had a plan, thats the point I am arguing.

I personally think they abandoned it too soon and probably could have played this week on Monday or Tuesday but as I said before, I don’t fault them for being cautious.

Blast, I'm not acting anything. If they had a plan, show it to me. There was no plan. The teams were not told what would happen in case of an outbreak. "Outbreak" was not defined. 2 players? 3? 5? No one knew. The NFL made rules for the teams to follow. We know this. We've seen the rules. What we haven't seen, or heard from anyone, is that they were aware of what would happen regarding forfeiting or rescheduling. Tomlin said that it didn't matter and that they just take marching orders.

The Titans suck for letting this happen. All other 31 teams have Covid under control.... even the Vikings who played them last week. Damn them. Damn them.

No, I'm very much saying they didn't have a plan. The closest thing they had to a plan was not getting punched in the mouth. They told everyone not to punch them and how to avoid punching them. But they are now staggering to get up off the mat with wobbly legs and grasping at the ropes that are just out of reach.

Nah man, it's the Steelers fault. Art 2 rolls over for the league time and time again. And we got a group of stooges on here led by Glenn who condone it.

The league isn't fining them for breaking protocol. As far as the league is concerned, they did nothing wrong.

I’ve said it numerous time now, the plan was to test, quarantine any positive results and play the game with who is available. Judging by Tomlin and Vabrel, this was also what they believed. The NFL aborted it for some reason, probably spooked by the number of infected.

You guys really think that with all the precautions and planning that Went into having training camp that once the season rolled around they no longer had a plan and just went into the season like any other. Come on.

If this is the only outbreak that hits any teams this year, then I guess problem solved. It is extremely unlikely to be the case though, and now the league has set a precedent that is going to be impossible to continue to honor. Heck, the Titans might not even be able to play their next game, which will completely screw this as hoc approach to dealing with outbreaks.

Well... that sucks. The Titans should be fined for not obeying Covid protocol.

So explain the difference between having such a crappy plan that you scrap it immediately and not having a plan at all? Because the effect seems to be the same.

You’ll have to ask them, I’m not privy to any internal discussions that caused them to alter course but I don’t think it was a bad plan and the very least, would have waited until tomorrow before making any decisions on the game.

Bottom line is you don’t like the plan they had in place and that’s fine but doesn’t mean they never had one.

Exactly. There is no way they didn't have a plan....They just chose not to stick to it.

So if I plan to study 5 minutes for an exam and don't anticipate how long I actually need to study, my F wasn't because I didn't have a plan. Got it.

I can't speak for the other guys, but for me, yes. That's exactly what I think. I think they spent their time on the aspect of controlling the spread and creating rules for the teams to follow. They created protocols and repercussions for non-compliance. They covered their ass by doing "everything" they could do through the teams to avoid contracting/spreading. But they made no actual plan, nor disseminated it through the league, as to what would be done IF an outbreak (whatever that is) occurs.

We'll not agree on this. I know.

I miss the days when all I had to complain about was Tomlin and his crappy secondary.
