Steelers-Titans game postponed

And again, as I have posted several times here, the NFL still should have had played preseason games. This may or may not have helped to figure out some of this Covid-19 stuff. I think it would have. Of course, that is with the contingency that a similar problem erupted during preseason as is now. Look, this erupted three games into the regular season. If we use that baseline data for the purpose of creating "odds" then the "probability" would have been that this may have happened during the preseason.

If nothing happened in preseason along the Covid-19 lines, then yes, we would have learned nothing but again this happened three weeks into the regular season. And again using that as the "Law of Averages", more than likely something would have happened Covid-19 related during the preseason. Look, I do not have a crystal ball , none of us do, so none of us would have known what would possibly have happened in the preseason regarding Covid-19.

In addition, on another note, and I did post, preseason is used for player conditioning, building chemistry, and player evaluation. All of which did not happen because of no preseason. If the NFL did not play preseason to solely avoid Covid-19 issues, as I stated above, and given the odds of a "breakout" all they did was avoid the inevitable, A.K.A "kicking the can down the road" until it happened in the regular season which it did with the Titans.

The NFL claims to have a plan in place for Covid-19 issues. To me, it seems that they either do not have one or a half-baked one that was not well-thought through. I have not read all the posts here but I would guess something similar was stated somewhere here. That being, what if the same team has a Covid-19 issue multiple times throughout the season? I guess that is what the asterisk (*) symbol was created for. To put next to Wins and Losses if forfeits now become an issue. Football, as we know, cannot run Doubleheaders like Baseball and/or have back to back games like Baseball, Basketball and Hockey. Very disappointing to say the least.

Now the Steelers have to "suffer" of sorts. They knew their schedule in advance and were not counting on this interruption as it relates to the Bye Week. I would bet that a whole lot of foresight to training and all of the alike go into this planning.

Exactly. Coach doesn't wear a mask on sidelines gets fined 100k and team 250k. Infect your whole organization due to pure negligence. We will just reschedule the games. What a crock of ****. NFL is handling this poorly.

 

Thank you NFL for attempting a season this wacked out year. Carry on with trying to give your fans what they crave, football on Sundays. Some of you fans reap what you sow, be prepared for changes in the lineup.

The Steelers are definitely getting screwed here. Their bye is now far too early in the season and playing the Titans after the Ravens game, which is the likely result, gives Tennessee an advantage.
