Mr. Rooney needs to put his foot down. League is trying to screw us!

So we are suppose to take our bye in Week 4? This barely would have been acceptable if maybe they told us on Monday. No, we spent all week getting ready for a game and now told it's not happening and it's your bye week. Instead of the organization taking a week off to regroup. We don't get a ****ing bye week!!


Maybe the theory it's not the Titans fault would have legs if anybody on the Vikings tested positive. They played the Vikings on Sunday and nobody has it. So nobody in the Titans organization can say they got it from the Vikings. This is pure negligence from the Titans organization. Somebody in their organization didn't take this seriously, got it, and spread it to the team. And now the Steelers are going to be penalized for the Titans incompetence. As lame as it sounds, the Titans should have to forfeit the game.


I won't even get into how the NFL had no plan in place for this. If this is the standard, this season isn't going to finish. They need to take a hardline and make the Titans forfeit and send a stern message to the rest of the league. If you don't take this seriously it's going to cost you games. Not we are going to shift games around and screw up byes because you screwed up.

 

Promise? You know I've been waiting for this moment for a long time.

 

The league isn't trying to screw us. They're just idiots. If anyone is getting screwed, it's the Vikings. Like I said in another thread, how would you be reacting if the Steelers were shut down this week because the Texans contracted it instead of the Titans?

 

Steelers are practicing today. They might try to force the leagues hand in terms of the CBA and needing 4 straight days off to be considered a bye.

They are going to have to add at least a week to the end of the schedule. There is very little chance that the Titans are the only team that has players tests positive this season. The NFL has set the precedent of calling off the game when they do, so this will almost certainly happen again. They should have extended the season and built in league wide bye weeks (maybe every 4 weeks) during which any missed games can be made up. Instead they apparently had no plan whatsoever about what to do when teams have players test positive. It's kind of astounding how poorly prepared they seem to be for a completely expected outcome.

 

It was a greasy response. Most Steelers fans and players are pissed off. Of course, Sdot makes a thread relaying the same message and everybody has to come play devils advocate. Acting like half a bye week in Week 4 is just peachy.

There are 8-9 season ticket holders at my golf club and I was shocked to hear they will never buy season tickets again. A lot of these guys are vets. Not the covid but other situations in our country has really soured them. I had a few bets going on for the game and 3 guys have asked me to forget about it because their done following them.

IMO it's that start that got to them also. If they were 3-0 I'm betting I'd be hearing a different story.
