I agree but I think the fear is teams would lie. That's why the league needs to be in control of testing everybody. I'm not sure if that's the case now or teams doing it and reporting it to the league. Another issue is the "negative" Titans somehow having it and infecting the Steelers.

Get the positives out. Test everybody from Titans/Vikings daily until Sunday. If no new cases pop up then they need to play with the best roster they can field. If they got some positives then they need to forfeit.

This isn't baseball. They can't reschedule games. It might work now but this wouldn't be the last time this happens and what about all the other shifting of games. League needs to figure it out quick or this season might be over.

 

I am very interested to see what the NFL does here. They are going to face some pretty serious backlash no matter what they decide to do.

 

How is moving the Bye week going to work anyway. Steelers are on week 8, Titans on Week 7. Now you have to move other games as well, and this affects how many other teams. One show mentioned a Tuesday possibility, then the Steelers are screwed by the short week. In the end I see games getting canceled and a horror show trying to justify playoff seedings.

 

I've no fear of that for sure but scared ****less for week 5.

Roger Goodell has no spine. Knowing him he will probably wait a few days to try and gauge what public opinion is. Then he will fly which way the wind blows.

 

Only 3 players have it from what I read. The other 5 don't play. If no other players tests positive, contrary to your claim that there is no way that could possibly happen, than game on. We lost that many OL after game 1. They can manage with out 3 play;ers.

I think he's saying people like Steel_Ben represent everything that's wrong with this world. It's only about what he wants and what's best for him.

 

I'd imagine they'll continue to test over the next couple days and if they don't get an abundance of positive tests then they will play the game. Just an opinion, but unfortunately it's gotta just be looked at as a "luck of the draw" or "coin toss" situation.

 

I tend to agree with you but am hoping like hell things can remain normal. I think 2020 is going to have to have a big fat asterisk next to it.

From what I have read, no one on the Vikings has tested positive before or after the game. Hard to pin this on them.

 

Yeah, I could imagine they might move it to a Monday Night game. They will probably play the game unless this outbreak is worse than they know now.

Hope our guys do not get exposed to the virus.

Funny. I didn't see any political statement in what he/she actually said. I did see an opinion but then censorship. Oh well. That's the way it is these days. Open discussion is great unless it doesn't align with others opinions.

 

We were so close to getting back to normal. @steel_ben7 was dropping gems but then @Steel_Elvis censored him on a football forum and ruined it all. Now we just have to sit around and wait and hope for an uncensored post to slip through the cracks and fix all of this.
