Obviously because DJ left the game but still a good sign. Didn’t lead to production yet but only his 3rd NFL game. Plus I felt of his four targets, only the one he nearly took for a TD was an easy catch. Another was behind him, another a defender was holding his arm and I think there was a sideline catch he should have come up with.

Another couple games at that snap count and I see him having a breakout game. Throw it to the big man, Ben! :herewego:

Who knows?! He might have it next week against Tennessee. If it is Kristian Fulton up against him, his chances are good. Even if that is not the case, I still like his chances all the same.

He went to my alma mater and I have seen him play a lot over the last 4 years, if he can stay healthy I am expecting him to be good for a long time. I must admit however when he reached the ball out and almost fumbled through the endzone yesterday, my heart stopped for a little bit.

Yep. Mines almost did too. I imagine though that Ike Hillard will chat with him about that though.

At least he did not perform a D.K. Metcalf. Had it not been for Russell's heroics, Seattle loses that game.

He has a lot to do to catch up to Metcalfs stat line but I see the potential.

Loving what we've seen from Claypool so far. Can't wait to see where he can go from here.

Even if he's not getting the targets, just having him out there running the patterns and blocking is development and progress. I liked seeing McFarland in the game too, although I think he got the ball on just about every snap he was in the game for. The young guys are the main thing that keeps me interested in football.

I absolutely see the potential too, but you might be reaching a bit. Metcalf is showing he can be the best WR in the game. That dude is an absolute beast. While I'm not saying Claypool can't get there one day, it's way too early to make that claim.

It's silly to call a young player a future HOF'er, but Metcalf is showing the ability to be the best WR in the game. Not sure if you've seen him play or not, but he looks great out there.

I am not ready to crown him best in the league just yet. He is playing great no doubt but he clearly needs to learn some things. However, it is still Julio Jones' Throne.

He is down but not out.

I have no problems with that. I don't think he's the best yet either. There's many ahead of him still. I just think he's going to be in the next group of truly elite WR's.

Next group I agree with. That said, expect Chase Claypool to continue to get to that tier. Right now though, I am content with his development.

He very well might. I would never it's impossible, it's just after only 3 games, it's really impossible to say he will get there. Claypool could, but DK absolutely will, I believe that.

I'm not convinced Claypool has the skills to be a top 5 talent at WR. He doesn't play particularly fast. He's got some other issues he'll have to clean up first. I could definitely see 1,000 yards and 10+ TD's season(s) in his career, I just don't think he has what it takes to be a top 5 guy. I hope I'm wrong though.

McLoud, LOL. I`m imagining Ronald McDonald`s face screaming with hands up on each side of his mouth. Some name.

Is that because Claypool was playing SP?

Wow, that is interesting! How is his blocking? I mean, I would hope that a WR with that many snaps would be blocking, picking, rubbing well to be able to stay out on the field and not get but 4 targets.

I noticed he was out on most of the 1 WR sets when we usually run, hence that snaps/targets ratio. Perhaps they’d rather have him blocking on running plays than Juju.

We'll need Claypool & Mcfarland if we are serious about a SB run. Glad Tomlin is letting them on the field.
