I like how he is spreading the ball around. The make-up of the offense has almost forced this on him and he's buying into just what he has with weapons everywhere. Good balance so far on offense. If we can stay within a score of the opposing team he won't have to try to be superman. More of a full team win every week instead of a couple of guys.

I really think that its too early to tell with Ben. You can say he has looked average bc he has missed some throws he should have had etc... He hasn't been exceptional bc he hasn't needed to be. I really think coming off his injury he knows that he doesn't have to play perfect football to win games. He just has to do enough. Don't turn it over, don't take too many costly sacks, make the right plays, convert third downs. There will come a time this season that he will have to play great, the first three weeks just haven't been that time yet. When the opportunity presents itself, we will see if old man Ben is up to the task.

Considering he didn't play for a year, I can understand him looking "average" at this point. As he gets more into game shape with more real game time behind him, I expect him to look better and better.

He was 0-8 on deep balls on Sunday. Several of which weren’t even close. We also continue to see passes behind, high, or both. So I’ll stick with average

Burrow has had no pre-season games to prepare for the NFL. I said it last year when I knew he was going to be a Bengal, this guy is going to be trouble for the Steelers. Some posters made a good point that regardless of how great he can be the Bengals need to build around him and they seem to have trouble with that.

Good list. Burrows before Ben is interesting but considering the situation the youngster walked into I can see that.

I'm curious why you don't have Trubisky and Haskins ahead of him too?

Based on that logic, Trevor Lawrence should be ahead of him too:this!:

I didn't say he was above average just that he is playing within the system better now. Getting the ball to the right people at the right time. Ben has never been tom Brady accurate ever. If average keeps winning games I'm all for it.

A lot of qbs having good numbers early. Defense isn’t what it used to be

Ben doesn't have to be better then those guys. Just good enough to win the superbowl. Bradshaw was never thought of, as a, top 5 qb .

We don't need Big Ben from 2 years ago. We don't need Big Ben from the last 10 years. We need Big Ben from his first two years, a game manager who was dangerous enough to keep other defenses off their game plans. No, he can't run like he used to, but he has a little better line, so he shouldn't have to.

    Mahomes
    Wilson
    Rodgers
    Jackson
Allen (I was not sold on him at first, but he's absolutely tearing it up and looks like the real deal)
    Watson
    Brees
    Ben

I could see an argument of him being ahead of Watson, but the way Allen and Jackson have played, I just don't see any possible way where he's more dominant than they are. I could even see the argument of him being ahead of Brees, who isn't looking so great anymore. He's absolutely not ahead of the other guys though.

    67% completions
    7 - 1 TD to INT
    105 rating
    3-0 record

If that’s average, I can’t wait for him to get into a groove

Ben is in 2nd tier of QBs.... below Mahomes and Wilson.

2nd tier: Ben, Rodgers, Brees, Brady

Mahomes and Wilson are so far above the rest... it's insane. Seahawks vs. Chiefs in SBLV

I disagree, that first tier is too small and tailored to your point. "Elite" has always been reserved for the 4-6 best of the best.

Ben is still in the top five until he isn't..... and thus far, the only statements made in attempt to take him out of the top five are foolish and 100% opinion....no fact.
    1. He's old
    2. I'm sure his arm will fall off soon.
    3. He's rusty
If you want to look at facts, here are a few:
    1. He lead the league in passing in 2018
    2. He still has a never ending will to win.
    3. He says his arm feels better than it has for a long time.
    4. If you make your living with your right arm and all of a sudden, you get a new right arm, it stands to reason that it may take you a while to get used to it.......and in the meantime he has a 105 QBR and is 3-0

To say Ben is on the same level as Mahomes and Wilson is just silly. You're wrong.

I didn't say that did I? I just said that making the first tier consist of two players was self serving.
