    So....

Winning 118 games since coaching with a QB he has been saddled with this whole time is average?!

Right now I think teams like the Jets, Giants, Vikings and Lions would take that problem.

He’s been a good regular season coach who since Cowhers team retired has been awful in the playoffs. I would love nothing more to be proven wrong and one of HIS teams makes a SB appearance. Unfortunately I highly doubt TOMLIN and Super Bowl will ever be together in a sentence again.

with that said Cheers to 3-0 and I will certainly give him credit so far. Let’s see how it plays out.

Holy sh!t. I was kidding. Talk about mind boggling.

I have no disdain for Tomlin. He coaches the Steelers, the team I follow, so of course I'm going to comment on his performance (negative and positive). I don't care what other coaches are doing or how they stack up, I don't follow those teams.
I don't recall even mentioning Tomlin once this season. Why?...because they're winning and that's the bottom line.
Tomlin could try to trip a punt returner running up the sideline and I wouldn't say a word, as long as the Steelers win the game.

So you have little or no proof that his game decisions clearly loss games?

There are those that have disdain for Tomlin win or lose. My bad if you are not one of those individuals.

You put my username and 'Tomlin haters' in the same sentence, that's really not projecting.

Let's see Noll went 12 years to finish his career without winning. Cowher went 10 years between Super Bowl appearances. So let's take the average of 11 years. Let's give Tomlin through 2021, then you can start yelling for a replacement. I personally like the coaching Tomlin has done the past 2 years. I believe he has learned from some mistakes. I like how they focused on shutting down Barkley and it worked. I like how he brought in officials last week to correct the 10 penalties and it worked. I like how the Steelers shut down the Texans offense in the second half.

That's a good question Jujubean. The Steelers looked stale to me before last season & a change could go either way. Popcorn earned some brownie points from me last year & a second chance. I think Tomlin moves on in the next decade just can't pinpoint when. The standard says we are due for a SB appearance, 20 years is to long. The Chief weathered the storm 1933-1974, 40+ years. His son Dan could have been the golden goose for all we know.

I'm not sure what you're asking for regarding insight, give me an example.
You keep accusing me of ducking questions. Write out a list of your unanswered questions and I'll answer them. PM it to me if it's getting off track or cluttering up the board.
You didn't answer my last question, btw.

I have proof, but you'll find a reason why it isn't proof enough, at which point it becomes opinion. I've been down this road before with Tomlin's 2 pt conv. disaster vs. the Cowboys.

Where did I state you hate Tomlin? Mistake on your part. Only you can make that decision.

The funny thing (it's not actually funny, but the word just popped off my keyboard and I'm too lazy to change it) is that even with new personnel each year, the problems remain. Hmmm...interesting...if the players change, but Tomlin and the problems remain, are the players to blame? Well of course they are! The HC can't be held responsible for the same problems year after year with different teams! That's insane!

Who are the Tomlin haters? Aren't you making that decision for them?

In my early days, I was a troubleshooter for a high tech company and I learned that the best troubleshooting technique is to be able to find the common denominator. But common sense is like kryptonite to some people.

There are things Tomlin clearly does well and there are things Tomlin clearly does poorly at.

A good coach, or a good anything, would keep doing what he does well and try to improve what he does poorly at.

Yeah, better coaches are his kryptonite...and inferior ones with less talent. And challenges. And clock management. And reigning in superstars. I could go on.

The Steelers had a say with them being 0-9. Even that wooful back end of our defense.
