They'll bring him around slowly. Future star though. With him, Johnson and Washington long term, we are set.

I guess fans won't be complaining about drafting Claypool over Dobbins, for awhile.

    Hey SteelCity_NB.

I did not see JuJu's name in there. Are you counting him out for next year's squad? I really hope we can find a way to keep all four of these terrific players. I know, I know. Contractual issues to consider. Him and Ben have a great connection. Missed last year together, so they are owed another year past this one in my book (smile). I have been saying it for awhile now. WRs: JuJu, Washington, Johnson and the up and coming (maybe already arrived) Claypool. Just Wow, as I like to say.

Personally, I'd never take a running back in the 1st round. It's one of the most easily interchangeable positions on the team. So I liked the pick right away.

( and apparently I don't know how rounds work, since he was picked in 2nd round not 1st)

You are correct. I think the defense should be priority and JuJu will price himself out of our range.

Would like to see Mapletron gets a couple more targets and take a couple targets away from Johnson.

Johnson both giveth and taketh away which makes me nervous, LOL.

Let`s develop our potential star ASAP.

Love Ju Ju, But I just do not think the bucks will be there to keep him. Even if he does not command top dollar, I do not think the cap will allow it, especially if it goes down next year.

    Hey Vox.

Yes, it is difficult in this day and age to keep them all. Right now we have a very potent WR crew IMO. JuJu IMO is the #1. The idea of home team discounts is out the window. I want him to have great year. For numerous reasons of course. And if that means good-bye then so be it. So far we have been pretty good at "replenishing" the cupboards with WRs. However, you are only as good as your last pick. We cannot always count on hitting "winners" at the draft each time we need to get another WR. Even given that, IMO, Washington, Johnson and Claypool still have a way to go to prove their consistencies. With that said, they are all off to a great start. Right now my biggest concern of those three is Johnson and his miscues the first two games. I do not want to see this become a case of "fumblitis". In a sense he is still one of the "new kids on the block" only ahead of Claypool. So, he gets a little leeway but not much. He has not cost us a game up to this point this year and hopefully he gets this issue rectified and quick.

Overall, so far so good on the Offensive side of the ball. I think that we will see improvement as each week passes. Remember, Ben is just getting re-acclimated to this group as well. He had never worked with Claypool and Ebron and only for a short time with Johnson. If consistency holds true in theory, they should be getting better collectively with each game.

It probably is well known. I heard it on draft night.

    I did not.

If it was not him, one of my options was Claypool. Shocked he lasted that long. One of the biggest steals of the 2020 NFL Draft.

Sad but true I am afraid.

Who knows when the "next one" will appear?! I say we ready up for whenever he comes. When he arrives, whomever that may be will be set up like Big Ben was back in 2004.

Kid had a couple great special teams tackles, too. Hard nosed, physical. If he puts on a bit more weight a la James Washington, look out!
