New season... Same Tomlin

Help me out here because I might have watched the wrong game. The Steelers scored shortly after the 2 min warning, they kicked off, held the Broncos to short yardage and received the punt with 11 seconds to go in the half and you want what? Risk an INT or injury when they have the lead and the ball back after halftime? What logical reason could there be for that? I seem to remember a similar situation only they were behind in the waning moments of the half against the Bengals in the shadow of their own endzone. The snap is bad, Ben had to scramble back to get it and Burfy came in and got a cheap shot in on Ben. But this would have been totally different.

 

After watching all the other injury riddled games today, I've come to the conclusion that the Steelers were playing it safe to avoid injuries.

It's odd that it goes that way. I just think of younger Tom Brady led Patriot teams, 99% of the time when they were supposed to win, they did and they made it boring unless you lived in the New England States.

We won we won we won. Jokes on you. As a fan I will take a win by 1 or 20. Close games build a teams character in different ways. Teams are going to find themselves in battles regardless fans opinions about the opposition.

It's been proven over and over again that every team in the league has the talent defeat any team regardless of perceived "superior talent" or records. Add mistakes to the equation and games get interesting. This stuff isn't difficult to figure out. Watch enough football and you might reach the same conclusions.

A lot of teams look like butt not just the Steelers. Aside from ravens

 

We went through this last year. I walk out my door and see 3 Eagle flags. I golf with people and hear about the Eagles. I go to the store and hear the Eagles fight song on the intercom. I hate the Eagles and at times an Eagle loss can be as satisfying as a Steeler victory.

Maybe you would understand if you lived in the Philadelphia area? hahaha

Yeah I got that you’re obsessed with the Eagles. Nobody here cares about the Eagles unless we are playing them.

 

Philadelphia is a different place when the Eagles lose.

I live in the St Louis area and I didn’t bore everyone with talk of the Rams nonstop when they were here.

First off.. They sat on the ball and then punted. Haden got an int with short field. Then they settled for 3 instead of going for 7.

Never know in this league.. look at the KC/Chargers game! Halftime Chiefs gave up over 300 yards of offense and down by 8 into the third. It happens.

 

I lived in Philly area for 10 years and now what you mean. You have to live there to understand how noxious their fans are.

 

Be thankful we aren’t Falcons fans
Up 26-7 in the 2nd quarter they decide to go for 2 and don’t get the conversion. Absolutely unnecessary play.
Then at the end of the game they give up an onsides kick and a field goal and end up losing by 1 point.
That’s bad coaching.

 

Tomlin would probably do the same thing tbh. Go up 3 scores. But hey we are barely better than Falcons, yay us!!!!

 

Philly fans are nuts. Especially Flyers' fans.
