I would agree that was a pretty ugly win. One almost turning point- when the punter fumbled it into the end zone. Had he been tackled at the 2 yard line the Steelers probably go up 31-14, but that safety kept it a two score game.

Penalties need to be fixed up ASAP. Those were the killers.

This was a game in which the home crowd was dearly missed.

As usual, they play down to the level of their competition, which is a hallmark of the Tomlin era.

I thought Bush made a few good plays, and Noah Fant is an A+ first round talent. Sometimes we forget that there are good players on other teams.

And in the end, two of the most maligned people on this board- Edmunds and Conner- made huge plays to win the game.

Second straight week the OL- without DeCastro- has produced a RB with a 100 yard game. That's a good sign.

As a fan of 48 years now- always, always, always be happy with a W. It's so much better when they win.

In years when they don't make the playoffs, they lose that game.

You would seriously consider that the ugliest win in Steelers history? Come on.

I don't know what to tell you, guy. If you think that performance today was good enough to beat above average or elite teams, then I've got some seaside property in Pa. you might be interested in.

Tums are empty, Pepto bottle bone dry but 2-0 baby! Bottom line how we have started the last couple of years, I’ll take it.

If you think a team in a 2nd game with no preseason, coming off a short week is not going to improve...comeon dude. Yes ugly, but we also are down 3 OL as well. Work to do, of course, but there is a lot of gold in this O as well.

Should Bush be covering a tight end anymore? Rough!

Until this team brings in a serious defensive coordinator this will continue to happen. It's great seeing the dline sack the QB, but when it comes to pass coverage, this system sucks!

Right. Another in a long line of washed-up, back-up, never was and never has beens that have made Tomlin's/Butler's defense look ordinary. Yet, I have nerve to call out the coaching staff because they managed to make enough plays to win a game that shouldn't have been close. SMDH.

Yeah, that’s concerning, for sure. Guys were running wide open. Definitely need to tighten that up.

Whatever. If he ever plays for Pittsburg I’ll spell his name right. Until then, I do not give a single darn.

on the subject of uglier wins-

That 3-0 win in the rain against Miami comes to mind.

They scored 26 points, they took a knee at the end, they could've scored more points.

Thats what happens when the refs give you a first down on every (bleep) 3rd down you dont convert.

I don't disagree. And let me preface this by saying that I've usually supported Tomlin throughout his tenure. But, when I see dumb penalty after dumb penalty and questionable play calling, then where does the blame lie? How many times have you seen well coached teams getting hammered with penalties? Conducting poor challenges? Questionable play calling? If it's the coordinators, then fine. Go Cowher on them. At some point, HCMT has to be held accountable for the overall performance of the on field performance.

    Great win!

Every win is great. You play to win the game. I presume Tomlin will make no apologies for winning the game.
