Steelers have a huge issue I think with Conner...

Moving forward here this season. This guy just cannot stay healthy at all. He couldn’t even last a half in the first game. If Conner is out the next few weeks and Snell plays like he did tonight and McFarland dresses and shows flashes and looks good then I don’t know what you do with Conner moving forward. What do you do with someone like him who constantly gets hurt and is never healthy. Tomlin’s patience with Conner being injured all the time has got to be wearing thin at this point.

I have never seen anything special in Connor. He's an average RB that can't stay healthy. If I needed the cap space or roster spot, I'd cut him. I have no idea what his salary is though.

Given Steelers money situation it’s Conner’s last year regardless if he’s hurt or stays healthy and plays well

Honestly I’m more surprised when he doesn’t get hurt. When’s the last time he finished an entire game?

I'm frustrated too, but I don't know, maybe he will stay healthy moving forward?

But he was a straight-line between-the-tackles guy coming out of college. They were doing some wacky stuff with him today with the misdirection. Not sure that suits his game.

It looked like he was yelling in frustration at the sideline at one point. I wonder what was going on there?

1M cap hit. They will keep him because of the lack of depth especially with macfarland hurt

Whether injured or not, he did not play well. They have other options at that position, but you always need depth there too. Stay the course.

There's no issue really. He's gone after the season and snell ran well

Yeah he is probably gone after the season anyway. He is still on his rookie deal so you keep him for this season in the hope that he comes right. It’s crazy that he didn’t even last a half.

My heart goes out to him but he is of no use to the team if he can’t stay on the field unfortunately.

I’d be far more worried about the injuries on the offensive line personally

Well I don’t know what they were doing with him and don’t care but the bottom line is you can’t keep getting hurt every single game like Conner seems to do and expect to just keep your job.

You have to love the kid. But facts are facts: Snell earned the starting job tonight.

My preference is that Connor runs well and is the lead guy. I guess we'll see how it shakes out.

I dont think we have a huge issue. He cant stay healthy.

We'll either let him go if someone else wants to pay him or he will have to take a sizeable discount to stay potentially as a backup.

I don't see it as a huge issue, if Conner is injured Snell will be the #1 RB, when he's healthy then it should be RB by committee.

I'm less concerned about the injury bug.. and more concerned Conner has become a dancing bear. That first year he was a bowling bowl... now he is king of the stop and stutter step.

Honestly...I still really like kid... not ready to ship him off.... and the big money won't be there unless he turns into an animal.... so he may be back.... but if I could get the Jets to eat most of Bells salary....(they got about 25 mill open yet in 2020 last I read) I would throw them a 4th/conditional 3rd if he reaches certain #s.... They will never get more.. with his contact and production.... they will cut him after this season anyway... and with his bad hammy ..I bet Frank Gore actually looks better in that Jets system the next couple of weeks.

If Bell bounces back great... he finishes out a few years at a bargain price for the Steelers. If he doesn't... he has already got all his guaranteed money from the Jets... so the Steelers can cut him without remorse or much skin in the pot

I wonder what LevBell think about his current status in the NFL? Grass is always greener huh?

But I guess he is just focusing on the grass...

Conners health is not even the biggest problem right now. The biggest problem is that when he is healthy he is terrible.

While I think Conner is a great guy and has a great story, I've never been impressed with his performance as a RB. Most games where he had decent yardage were against bad defenses, if I remember correctly. He just doesn't seem to know how to find the holes, and often hits a wall of defenders instead.

Snell was finding holes in that same defense last night that Conner couldn't breach. Like I said, I like the guy, but I've just never thought he was starting material.

Connors is like Willie Parker. Excellent physical skills but no vision to hit the hole. If he gets it right, he may get 9-10 yards a pop,but more often than not, it’s zero yards leaving Steelers in 2nd and 10. I rather have Bettis, Foster, Bell or Snell... guys that can get consistent yards as it keeps the defense honest.
