Been saying this early last season. Won't take what we will offer him. Future is bright with Claypool. DJ and JW. New Young Money Crew.

I still want them to sign him if they can. JuJu > JW

Sweed, Wheaton, Ayers, Justin Brown. It’s not all glory :lolol:

But in general, yes, I trust them to draft WR better than any other position.

They can’t afford him and I am afraid to say that that is just one of the unpalatable roster decisions that they will be forced to make next off season.

If JuJu has a great year we will not over pay for him.

If JuJu does not have a great year we do not need him.

    Poof, he’s gone.

The wealth of talent we have at wr is not sustainable....... No way we keep 4 #1's and 2's happy.....we are bound to lose one or 2... That's why it's so important that we are so good at finding talent at the position...... Personally, I think we keep juju, and eventually lose James washington

Likely? Someone is going to pay him if he has a decent season and it won't be the Steelers. With the fresh signing of Heyward and hopefully extending Minkah Fitzpatrick after this season their isn't going to be a lot of cash to sign Juju even with the one year wonder coming off the books. Plus Ben's hit is staggering for next season.

How soon you guys forget his 1rst and second season with a quality Qb. Hell Ben even said I should have
    gone to JUJU in Denver.

I don’t think anybody has forgotten how good he was in 17/18, at least I haven’t. I have defended him as well when he was going through a rough patch last season with injuries and brutal QB play. I think he will have a very good season and I’d love if they could re-sign him.

We have to be realistic though, they have just paid Heyward and TJ Watt is the priority from that 2017 draft class, then Minkah the season after. With Bens huge contract also likely to remain on the books they will struggle to match offers from other teams. Can they even pay TJ the $30m he will likely command without tearing up that defence?

I think they will continue to bet on themselves finding receivers in rounds 2-3. They may pay one of Johnson or Claypool depending on how the next few seasons go but I really can’t see how they keep Juju unfortunately.

Mira not about forgetting. Chase was drafted to cushion the potential loss of juju in free agency. We have a ton of players hitting free agency and the cap is supposedly going to decrease next year.

The talent is there. But I still don't think the focus is there. I've been pointing it out since 2018. Football just isn't the most important thing in his life. It's how he makes his living. The JuJu brand is way bigger than his love for the Steelers. Plus his play can be inconsistent and he has made some major gaffes in key situations.

We need to forge ahead with a defense led by Heyward, TJ Watt and Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Every player today has a brand but by all accounts he has put that on the back burner and been focusing on football all offseason.

He’ll likely have another great season and price himself out of Pittsburgh.

I tend to agree, I follow him on Instagram and this kid absolutely worked his ass off all off season, hired a high profile personal trainer at his own expense and everything. He is in unbelievable physical shape. You don’t do that if you don’t care about football.

Im not sure his off field pursuits effect his football, I could be wrong. I’ll take a guy that plays video games and organises water fights in the park over some of the activities some other players get up to. I think he bounces back this year.

Apparently you didn't see juju in his first 2 seasons, or James and deonte last season with garbage qb play...…. not to mention Claypool's potential
I clearly stand by my assessment of our top 4 …… yes, most of it is based on upside, but we've seen enough to know what this group can do with a healthy ben....….
I'm not high (wish I was though), but I do believe you are one of those fans that always sees the glass half empty, and can't wait to see you eat crow this season

I wish JuJu all the best. Granted, JuJus 2017 Class was easily one of Kevin Colberts greatest ever. That said, success is a double edged sword. Sadly, one cannot keep everyone. One has to go.

JuJu is sadly that person. For me, the selection of Chase Claypool does cushion the blow but only so much. JuJu was one heck of a good character for the Steelers; one of my all time favorites despite his limited time.

As I stated before and will again, I wish JuJu Smith Schuster all the best! Hope he does well this season and can cash in well for another team!! :herewego:
