I heard on SNR they said the Steelers will have 40 free agents after the season, that's a lot of starters that could be gone after the season, here's some of them. That has to be 40 free agents from the current 80 man squad.
    AV
    Dupree
    Heyward
    Sutton
    Hilton
    JuJu
    Conner
    Banner
    Feiler

Yes they are going to lose most of those guys. A lot depends on what the league decide to do with the salary cap but even in a best case scenario they cannot keep everyone.

I don’t think there is any chance that Juju gets a second deal to be honest, and I also think Mike Hilton will get some offers that the Steelers won’t be able to match. I expect that Cam Heyward will get extended before the start of this season, after that I’d probably try my best to keep Feiler and Sutton. If Chuks doesn’t step forward this season they probably need to give AV another year as well, albeit they would probably prefer to move on.

Some other teams are in an even tougher spot, the Eagles are projected to be $50m over the cap next season and they have very few easy cuts as they have been heavily restructuring player contracts for years. Saints are also in a really tough spot for 2021.

A lot of Steelers are saying that AL V might retire after this season.

Don't forget AL got a little later start to his career than most guys.

    I'll go with "bust".

I just can't see how the NFL season can work.

More or less, yes it is now or never. So sad our run is about done. I hope we don`t spend too many years waiting on getting an elite starter at QB. We found out how important that is after our run in the 70`s. No elite QB = no Super Bowl Championship and even more so nowadays.

I vote Super Bowl. I’m even willing to mail that ballot in if necessary

For the first time in a couple season I not only like our Starters, but I really like our depth on both sides of the ball as well. I think this year could be special!

Yeah I like the depth across the roster but there are a few glaring weaknesses, backup QB, linebackers (right across including OLB) and safeties. I hope there are no lengthy injuries in those areas.

The backups like Rudolph, Gilbert, Spillane, Highsmith, Ola, Skipper and Allen are quite unproven. Apparently Sutton will be the backup FS which is probably fine, but it is a massive drop off if Minkah misses time and Sutton has to start there. Austin has actually said he will be seeing a lot more snaps this year. I think they really like Sutton.

I think FA signing Curtis Riley will be the backup FS.

Would be great if they could find some depth with a guy like that. The depth at safety is definitely a concern.

Season is already a bust. All sports are currently a bust. Cardboard fans, pumped in cheers, Players protesting and no practice games make for incredibly strange and uninspired competition. It will be odd watching players run around in a full contact game while coaches on the sidelines are forced to wear masks.

NBA teams carry a lot less players then the NFL. MLB has trouble with skipped games.

.....On destroying their entire league with their silly little protests.

The NBA has had no positive tests in their bubble, if the protests bother you don't watch the first few minutes.

Not a problem. I haven't watch the NBA in over 20 years however I do pay attention and know that their ratings are in the toilet and they're not doing much to improve that.

It will be interesting. So much depends on how this season plays out. Heyward is getting on in years, but might see himself deserving a last payday if he performs this year.

Connor’s price may depend on how much Snell emerges.

And Juju’s price will depend on how much the other guys emerge behind him.

Tackle is going to be problematic...

As a youngster I got into BB because of the Champions Pittsburgh Pipers/Condors. After that followed the Lakers with Magic and Lew Alcinder. Since then I have not followed the NBA at all. Barring major injury you sort of know who will be NBA champs at the start of season.
