I decided to send the money to next year rather than a refund. I look at it as a sunk cost since that money is already gone. Next year I will think I have two free season tickets. :smiley1:

They will appreciate if there is no season this year. Wonder if Uncle Sam considers that as investment income? :drinks:

It’s just a credit to next year. If the ticket cost goes up next year, which I doubt, I anticipate owing the difference. I also do not see a price increase next year.

If it is a seat license sale, it is taxable Income.

Just got an email saying our tix to the Watt bowl are being refunded. kind of sad about it even though we were wavering on the trip due to all of the current uncertainties. Maybe next year

Just got an e-mail today. If Steelers have games, you won't be in your normal seats they are putting into groups or pods as close to your normal section as possible.
You may have the ability to upgrade to a different seat than your normal seats.

    All pretty crazy stuff.

I think when it's all said and down Tom Wolf will say no fans allowed in PA.

After much thought I decided to opt out of the 2020 season and I deferred it to 2021. But, looks like the Steelers ticket office has to review it first doesn't look like a guaranteed thing. But, I think before it's all said and done there won't be fans this season.
Since I already paid for this year just decided to use the credit toward 2021 tickets.

Given all the requirements, a crowd limit to maybe 20,000 and no the usual 60,000+
    just wouldn't be the same.

Plus, I figure it's best to keep my kids safe and not take them, wife feels the same way.

Hopeful to return back in 2021. Going to really miss doing my tailgates etc. But there will be other days hopefully.

Took them about 2 minutes to say ok to mine. Yours will be approved shortly.

I thought the deadline date had passed?

The e-mail I got said you had to opt out for 2020 by Friday 8/14

But still haven't got an e-mail back saying that I'm good to go, and my account will be credited for 2021 yet.

Said it had to be reviewed.

Interesting, and I may be all wrong, but I seem to remember the original email I received and adjoining link had a reply date in July. I remember thinking I had to make certain I didn’t forget and quickly responded mid July. Maybe they moved the goal posts. Maybe they like you better than me?

I did have a reply in less than 24 hours.

No response yet. But in my account my tickets no longer show up so I guess that means, that I'm credited to 2021?

I don't think they even know what they are doing yet. But yeah it be nice to get some sort of response back.

Are the Steelers allowing fans for Hone Games? Haven’t been paying to close attention.

Right now, theoretically a limited number. But you are not guaranteed your normal seat.
