How’s everyone doing? Mentally, physically? Any positive news to share during these times?

I’ve had many changes at my job, management, I got promoted etc. just bought my first house and there were tons of spiders, 4 black widows and I’m arachnophobic! Got an exterminator and officially stay there tomorrow.

Never know when life can just zap you and that’s that. Just want to say hello to everyone while I’m still around and hope you guys are making the best out of a terrible situation.

Glad to hear about your promotion BBH. The black widows not so much. Yikes... Here in Connecticut we’re fortunate to not have much in the way of lethal wildlife. We’re doing good here. My wife and I are taking a trip to Cape Cod in a couple of weeks. A little bit of normalcy in crazy times

Congrats on job!!!!! I got nothing against spiders but their webs are another story. Hate walking through them in the morning.

My suggestion to you is to find that freaky cat that is your avatar and sic it on them spiders. My neighbor had a cat who enjoyed chasing down spiders and eating them.

I too have a new house. Not by choice. Wife and I both retired and decided to downsize into a over 55 Mobile home park. Really great move. No more lawn upkeep and so much easier to clean. We got an old one cheap. Put a ton of money into it and after 3 years my wife decides she wants a brand new one in the same park. So three months ago we move one street over. We were the original owners of our first house and lived there 35 years. Wife just could not get use to living in a house somebody else lived in.

Let's hope this BS ends (can't see how it will) and you can get back to enjoying Dallas Cowboy football:) Big year for both you and I as our Steelers play the Cowgirls and those annoying Birds. My park has way to many Eagle flags flying:(

It's too damn hot where I'm at bbh. Other than that I don't have much to complain about. Do you have a Steelers or Cowchokes welcome mat? ;)

Spiders sound bad, but in Texas, it could be worse.

I golf 9 holes just about everyday weather permitting. I use to wake with the normal aches and pains. A fellow golfer told me about Osteo Bi-Flex and I started about a month ago. I am very impressed. My joints no longer hurt and I don't have to ice down after every round which I hated. Only thing I don't like about it is my hair and nails grow faster and my nails are harder.

I'm doing well. Working from home. Full pay, thank God. Challenged by all the sh!t going on. Desperately wish people would but the country's needs over partisan needs. But, I'm too old and too smart to know that's a fantasy.

But I'm always reminded of line from an old Lynyrd Skynrd song: hard times will come, hard times will pass.

    Hope to God that's true.

Congrats BBH, great news in unnerving and unprecedented times.

Over here in England we seem to be over the worst of it but with most sports starting up again, bars and restaurants opening and possible good weather on the horizon I'm fully expecting another flare up/second wave. I personally can't complain, work for a major bank and been working at home since April, although back in work this week.

Sending my best to all you guys over there where I know some states especially are still going through a really tough time

I and my family are fine and so far healthy. Other than hearing a couple weeks back that I maybe losing my job
shortly. I am 60 years young so I am going to keep plugging away. Hope that I can maintain my current life style that I worked
all my life for. What concerns me, if I am lucky enough to get another job that doesn't expose me to the virus too much.
I have been lucky so far I can social distance at work. This may not be true going forward? I had a big bucket list and was hoping
to chip away at thru retirement, and if I can play my cards right and stay healthy I still might be able to accomplish
some of these on the list. Stay safe everybody.

33 you say 33!!!!!! You'll get little sympathy from me my friend.;) At 33 I was still carrying my bag on my shoulder and walking 27 holes. No one wants to believe me when I tell them there are herbal products out there that really make a difference.

I thought of you last night watching a show from Australia. A guy had a Huntsman spider in his office. They are harmless but so damn big and ugly I fear they would give you a heart attack.

That's the truly good thing about getting older. It sure beats the alternative.

To answer the OP, all is relatively well here. New York went from being the epicenter to one of the few places that the numbers are still going down, but the whole thing worries me. I still have no idea what it's going to look like when schools reopen here in the fall. Hopefully, the state and my district can come up with some sort of plan that is relatively safe.

it's been months since I actually went into work. I am almost looking forward to jury duty. I have to go in later this week. Okay, I'm really not looking forward to it, but getting in a routine of having somewhere to go for a while has some appeal.

Been good up here in Vancouver. A bit warmer than the usual though but all is good. Beats heading into Pittsburgh with that monstrosity of a heat wave the city had!

Grats on the promo and mortgage. Spiders suck but can be eradicated. Now the fun starts, making your house your own.

As for me and mine, we're fairly close to business as usual. The wife and I work for essential businesses, so our routines haven't changed much. I did have back surgery mid-May. It went well and I was just cleared to drive and start light lifting again. Exciting times. My youngest daughter has decided to join the Air Force. Mixed feelings because I am ex-AF and it's nothing like it was way back when. But what is? And my oldest daughter is finishing her teaching degree, specializing in early childhood development. Nothing necessarily noteworthy there, except that she finally decided to finish her studies here in the states instead of following her "dude" to back to England. Hard to tell your 25-year-old that the guy she's in love with is a tool. But I try. I'd ask if any of you know anyone single and stable, but she doesn't like football or sports in general. I used to dress her up in a Steelers onesy cheerleader outfit when she was still in diapers and take her to a local bar in Florida before the games. The guys and gals would pat her head for luck before I would turn her over to her mother who drove me there to drink with the boys and get rowdy. I thought I was raising her right, but it didn't stick.

I've had some bad years, some really bad years in my 50+ years on this Earth. You persevere. You carry on. You forge ahead. There'll be good years too.

2020 has been without a doubt the worst year ever, personally, and it's only half over. It started with the worst 50th birthday anyone could have in January (my oldest daughter died). And it just keeps piling on. I'm not seeing any light at the end of the tunnel yet either.

That's all I have to say about the matter right now. Don't mean to be a downer. Just tired. Something's got to give soon. Until then, keep punching.
