I'm curious what the lack of normalcy will present this year; for the Steelers and for the entire league?

I think we could see sloppy play because players may be practicing techniques that are wrong but there is nobody to correct them so they just keep working out incorrectly.

I think we may see a lot of WTF moments because there are a lot of players who don't work that hard even in a normal year because they think they are bigger than the game/league; and this year, they may not be doing squat!

I think the Diva factor could be really big this year!

Don't be surprised if their is a shortened season, if any at all.

I think the NFL is too big of a machine not to play the full season. TV contracts likely pay all the bills. Don't need people in the stands.

My prediction, sloppy play, less run game, more deep balls, high scoring, probably alot of injuries.

It will be interesting if they do a one time special circumstances roster increase since there won't be time for player evaluation and such.

I’m trying to be hopeful but we needs some serious progress on treatment and for states to do a better job flattening their curve.

Heat isn’t going to make it go away either, Brazil is suffering a major outbreak.

Yeah I know, fake news for the peanut gallery

I’m seeing more penalties as a function of the sloppy play as well.

As AQL said, soft tissue injuries, and lots of them.

I am of the belief that offenses need the team reps more than defenses (unless the defensive scheme is overly complex). I see instinctive, read-react kinds of athletes on defense having a nice start to the season because they will be able to best take advantage of slow, sloppy starts by offenses. However, I also see instinctive QBs who win with their athletic talent having hotter starts than QBs who rely on rapport and timing with their receivers, so a guy like LJ could have a hot start again.

It's damn near unwatchable with all the penalties already. I envy your season tickets to watch live.

I feel pretty good about our defense quarantining LJ well enough (as long as our offense doesn't :poopy: the bed and keep putting the defense back on the field without catching their breath).

I'm seeing a lot of penalties from not having enough men on the line of scrimmage due to social distancing!!! 6 feet won't cut it!!

Well, I'll be weak in the knees from all the running around in the Burgh if we actually get to participate in late Sept!

Keep in mind though that those uber athletic athletes have an Achilles Heel of their own; themselves. Their athleticism is their greatest asset without question. However, being too reliant on it can also be their greatest undoing.

For Lamar Jackson, I imagine he has been working even harder to improve his passing abilities. That said, look for him to instinctively act and react based on what he feels as opposed to what he has studied. Should that be the case, expect those possible aforementioned soft tissue injuries to increase for him.

Roger Gooddell is probably 100% in support for a 6ft distancing rule.

Sloppy play and Injuries, that's if the players can even keep their minds
involved and are not afraid of catching the virus. Until a vaccine or treatment is available
this country will never open up entirely. Baseball was the only sport I thought
may have a chance to continue, but those greedy bastards aren't going to let it happen.

No defense. Six foot rule doesn't allow a defender close enough to tackle another player. Oline must have six foot gaps between players. No pass rush because of six foot rule. Shotgun only snaps. No handoutffs to running backs. Just 22 players running around the field staying six feet apart.

I think it's pretty evident that strong healthy people either don't incur symptoms or get over them quickly and easily so by the time the season rolls around I doubt this will be an issue.

How to perfect the 6 ft rule - just use wider plastic base - way ahead of it's time. :lolol:
