I am an east coaster and I always say in my next life I'm living on the west coast. I like the idea of early games. I am sadly a huge Pirate fan and since they will suck forever no way I stay up to watch them but on the west coast the games would start at 4:00 and I would enjoy that.

I watched the Steelers first SB in Hawaii and this was before all the BS before the game and a 6:30 EST start. I think it was 8:00 am when I had breakfast with my roommate who was from Minn. and we watched the game. I obviously had the better day.

Even though the vast majority of those Primetime games are wins?

Back in the late 90's/early 00's I had direct TV and got the network affiliate package which gave the 4 major networks east and west coast feeds which was nice if I missed something premiering at the time. It was 20 bucks a month for it though. I'm sure they are dropping it due to someone finally catching on to the fact that they are charging money for network channels that should be able to be pulled in via a rooftop/window antenna. I think I saw an article to that effect recently.

I was just referring to the passionate topic of people's preference for automobiles...since I stirred the pot with my Jeep comments. Then next logical step would be religion or politics....two topics I would rather not discuss here either.

I think it is a good thing for their sake... easier routine perhaps?

Im guessing both of you had fake knock off Jeeps made by Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep. Me, I had a real Jeep made by Willys, the real Jeep builder. 4 cylinder flat head. 688 rear ended. Top speed of 45 mph. Could climb up a telephone pole and drive through a block wall.

Had a 79 CJ5 Straight 6, 258, Ran awesome. Rusted in several spots every other jeep did back then no matter how much I washed and waxed it. Wheel bearings and rear ends were problematic. Other than that I loved the thing.

    Mine was a 59. :drinks:

Rag top. Had the same wheel bearing problem. Had to get out to lock the hubs to use 4wd. It didn’t help me get chicks, but my friends thought it was cool as all heck.

Do you have stats for that? All I remember is our opening prime time game last season and how did that go?

They haven't lost at home on Monday night in over 20 years, Overall on MNF they have been almost a sure thing even on away games. SNF has approached the level of Monday night with the winning percentage gradually inching up higher although once SNF became the marquee matchup that it is they have tried to schedule bigger games for that slot so there have been some memorable division rivalry games especially against Baltimore. The season opener against New England coming off a SB title was always going to be a tough game and Thursday nights have been more of a mixed bag but just like Sunday those numbers are improving.

I found this on REddit but won't vouch for the validity of the numbers.

it has these numbers for the Steelers
    Pittsburgh Steelers 44 28-16 (63.64%) 90-54 (62.50%) 14-10 9-3 5-3

44 total games 14-10 on MNF 9-3 on SNF and 5-3 on Thursdays but it is also 4 years old so more to those totals as well.

The team plays better under the lights it just is one of those things and yeah I hate waiting all day to watch a game or a day and a half but I won't complain about the outcome of those

This means absolutely nothing. You might as well say the Steelers win games because you wore your lucky socks. And if they need the "lights" to win games then what does that say about their motivation as a team?

I didn't say they need the lights to win or that they needed extra motivation, I say it every year no matter the conditions, opponents or factors they just show up time and time again.

Dale Lolley wrote a pretty interesting article on the prime time games.
