    So quick back story.
We live in Philly(have Eagles season tickets) Wife from Pittsburgh, she has Steelers season tickets. We go to a couple games at each stadium, each year.

So the story thats leaking out here is that no general admission fans will be allowed to go to Eagles games this year, only season ticket holders(about 28,000 of the almost 70,000 person stadium) *IF* fans are allowed in at all.

So my question is, how many season ticket holders do the Steelers have? I'm thinking they may use the same game plan if the NFL allows fans in the stadium.

IMO that is terrible that only season ticket holders get to go to games. I am hoping we are not held hostage by a microbe come September. I want them stadiums packed tight and fans screaming. That is football!!! Might as well stop everything forever and never leave the house for 90 years and get to say you lived a long life. Sorry for the rant but if they stop football from being what we know and love I'll go insane. I can take missing MLB since the Pirates suck and I am getting use to the idea I won't get to see Hockey Playoffs:( but "come on man" I need my Steelers!!!!!!

The Steelers games are all sold out to season ticket holders. The single tickets are mostly a few odd balls here and there.

Im assuming eagles games aren’t sold out?

Thanks for getting back to me guys
    1) I'm on the side of this covid19 thing being over blown with underlying reasonings
    2) It was my understanding that only X amount of the seats have license. those people get first rights to go to the games if they go in with a limited seat capacity.
    3) Great schedule for you guys except for week 5 obviously. Hope to see ya'll in the playoffs too.

68,400 +/- season tickets are held. Naturally, most owners have more than one.

Therefore, if you only let season ticketholders in, you will still have a pretty full stadium.

If there are only 28k out of 70k sold as season tickets, why is there a season ticket waiting list?

about 10 years ago I wrote to the Steelers and asked to buy season tickets. They sent me a letter telling me I was number 16,000+ on the waiting list.
someone here on thesteelersfans.com posted that they were up to people who have been on the list since 1997.

The season ticket list wouldn’t be as long if people knew, that 2000-4,000 psl per seat awaits you if your number is up. (Depending where you are given)
You just don’t magically be given the chance tickets to buy at cost, you do, but after you pony up for the PSL.

This is why the list is dumb, people are gonna try to recoup their investment, they arent going to just let the license lapse and let it go to the next person on the list. They are going to sell it or leave it to a family member if they get too old to go anymore.

Unfortunately things completely returning to normal by September is not likely. It sucks but as Tomlin would say it is what it is.

I can take the new normal, especially if the new normal avoids us going 8-8.

    Worded it wrong.
    28,000 owners.
I know companies(more than 1) that have more then 2500 seats
Club Box, 20 to 50 guests, 1 owner.
my wife owns 4 seats in pittsburgh
My dad owned(at one point) as many as 12 in Philly.

Part of the rules for my wife getting her seats from her uncle, for free,(no transfer fees which get expensive) was that they must stay in the family and you cant charge them

A significant number of the people high on the list got on it before a PSL existed. I had a friend who finally got the call and said no thank you to the PSL fee.

I forgot that the Steelers have so many season ticket holders. If you want to go to a game you can always find someone willing to sell. True story: I live 375 miles from the stadium and I worked with an AVID Steeler fan. he goes on that cruise every year and 2 years that I know about he went to 6 of the 8 home games. He never had trouble getting a ticket. What amazed me the most is he actually showed up to work on Monday morning. I kid you not!!!!!
