Should we be offended the Steelers only have 4 primetime games as opposed to the maximum allotment of 5 games?

It's the f*ing Steelers, the team is a massive TV draw. And I know last season was what it was but they were still in playoff contention until the last week even after having gone down to the 3rd string QB and a rash of other injuries.

And to not put the Steelers/Cowboys game in the 8 o'clock time slot? That game alone is going to smash the ratings number forthe year smdh.

I know the Steelers draw big with the ratings and usually play very well during Prime Time games but I couldn't care less about them playing a bunch of games in the evening slots. Give me 1 oclock Sunday games all season and I will be very happy. I could handle Saturday night games but getting up in the mornings to go to work as I get older is brutal after TNF, SNF or MNF games.

Eight teams have the maximum of 5 primetime games:

    Ravens
    Cowboys
    Packers
    Chiefs
    Rams
    Patriots
    49ers
    Buccaneers

The last 5 games of the season (I believe one already MNF) does not leave much imagination for a flex game. That said, as much as the Steelers have a good fan base, let's face it the last 2 years we were a .500 team. As to the argument we were in the playoff hunt, so were a myriad of teams, and many of them had at least some offense to make a game exciting. The last 2 games of the season may actually have some flex pull if Po's are TBD.

Offended no, reality check about how mediocre we have been..yes.

This may be the season they cringe at giving the Pat's so much love. Maybe not, but I do not see a great team there, though BB seems to get the most out of little.

This suits me down to the ground because of the time difference. I hate Sunday night games. The more 1pm games the better as far as I am concerned.

The Ravens thanksgiving game will be at 1.15am here :(

Fox and CBS pay their share to the NFL. They like go ratings too. They won't be happy if every marquee game goes to ESPN and NBC. The league HAS to give them something besides Det vs Was.

They got 4, it's not like they only got 1 or 2, I don't have a problem with it.

I know for some it sucks, but I hate the schedule so many early games. And of course only 4 prime-timers. And living in LA with two stupid home teams, I can forget about seeing them on TV as much this coming year so it will be the damn bar at 10 am or a hunt for a stream.

    Hey GO lers.

I am in the camp of the more one o'clock games the better. For me, it just makes the day go better. Actually, again me, I would rather have no Thursday or Monday night games. Once again, for me, it just makes my day easier. I know it will not work for West Coast games but other than that keep it simple,. As many 1:00 pm games as possible and 4:00 pm games when necessitated. I just like to know the outcome (hopefully always a "W") as soon as possible and move on with the rest of my day. Does any one else feel this way? A home Monday night game is always cool but definitely has to be a home game.

There will be no such thing as "primetime" games this season. Every game in the NFL will be a practice game atmosphere.

It's funny you say that. I actually prefer, being out on the west coast, the Steelers playing the 10 am pacific/1pm eastern games. I wake up Sunday, have some breakfast, watch the steelers right off the bat, and then I can relax for the late games and night games.

The only atmosphere I care about is where I am watching the game and it won't be like a practice game I promise you.
