Hilton is more accomplished overall at this point and while there is a role for both I just don’t see the Steelers giving two guys in the same position group second contracts in the same year.

If Sutton can take another step forward this year I can see them keeping him over Hilton as I feel they will value his versatility more, and the fact that they drafted him in the third round will be in his favour also. If they both ball out it’s a nice problem to have

So get rid of the guy that has started over the draft pick for 3 years? Wow.

My preference would be to keep both but the reality is that there is a salary cap. If it is one over the other it will come down to several factors, who is more productive in 2020, who they feel has more long term upside, who is more easily replaced given their slightly varied roles and skill sets, who is more open to staying etc. I doubt any decision has been made on that yet, I’m merely speculating as to what the team might do.

AV---Seemed to be in decline mode last year. If it continues this season LT would become a priority. So long!

BD---If he has another big season he goes for the money. If he reverts back to normal who needs him. So long!

JC---Same boat as the above. Plus the injury concerns everyone mentions.

My vote is for Dupree. Could leave regardless of performance.

No reason for any of the other 3 to leave. Hilton is a fan favorite and makes plays. JuJu is expected to bounce back and Sutton seems to be slowly improving. Unless he's another Keenan Lewis, the one who after several years finally batted down a pass:smiley1:and then defected to New Orleans. [I don't think he lasted long]
