Well, they addressed a need at least. DT, Nebraska.

Been given a chance young man, seize it!

I was reading that Davis has no pass rush ability but at 320 lbs can be used as an effective run stuffer.

They said he needs to lower the pads more, he plays too high.

I feel for the late rd picks in this draft, almost an impossible task to make the team with no camp.

Husker fan so I've seen him play. Twin brother Khalil was a little better imo, but if he can help with the run defense, I'm all for it.

His brother was the one that ran the fastest 40 for defensive linemen. Carlos had a 4.82 which is moving for a big man.

He ought to be able to get em a little lower than big Dan thus meaning Dan is finally expendable? Hahahahahahahha

Maybe I am overthinking this, but perhaps one of the reasons the team signed so many xfl players. Most of those guys are nothing special, late round picks and UDA's who bounced around practice squads. What they do have in enough experience to possibly get an eye in a short camp.

Probably right, but I'd love to see one of these late round D linemen make some noise.

Everybody sing: Dan Dan the lifetime contract man... Lower the pads, Danny Boy is 6'7" :lolol: What a draft blunder picking a 6"7" DT. Hopefully he is shown the door! Carlos is 6'2" 323. That's a NT.

Let us not forget a 7th round DE who did exceptionally well. You never know. Welcome Carlos.

A guy that weighs 323 lbs and runs a 4.82 is going to make one heck of an impact when he makes contact.

Nice story about the brothers being adopted at 9 months old. Bet the real parents are kicking themselves now. ( chaa ching!!) Funny story while they were growing up, they were eating so much that the parents had to keep buying fridges, they ended up with 3, and 1 of them was kept in the parents bedroom so the kids wouldn't empty that one out too.

I read something similar in an article this morning. It didn't sound like the 3rd fridge in the bedroom slowed these boys down any.

Iffy pick. Go figure it's our last one. We need a run stopper not a Disc thrower. Still, has size to plug
up the middle and that may be enough for now. Hope it works out, but IMO this position of need we'll
require a larger investment earlier on.

    Keeping Hope Alive!

He's going to need a year on the PS I think. He is developmental in almost every aspect. Is this like the 3rd year in a row we've taken a late round Dlineman. Buggs. Frazier. Now Davis.

That's not overthinking it at all IMO. This may be a rough offseason for rookies to get ready to contribute.

Possibly. Maybe even a lead blocker at the goal line. At that speed and 323 lbs he might put a blitzing safety through the goal posts.

If I had a girl that young and pretty get that close to me, I might have a meltdown too.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Carlos Davis, DT, Nebraska - B Grade

Carlos Davis offers very little as a pass rusher, but he's a solid run stuffer. If the Steelers need an extra defensive lineman to clog the trenches, Davis will be able to make the 53-man roster.
