We have three Heisman Trophy-winning quarterbacks in the AFC North and we have to have guys to hunt them -- Tomlin on his pass rushers.

McFarland also played with Tomlin's son at Maryland, and being coached by Canada helped him get drafted.

He did say "had". Who knows what they are now though?! Still though, probably not a good idea to share that. :lolol:

    Yep.

Andy Da- I mean, Joe Burrow, Bernie Ko- I mean Baker Mayfield and Lamar Jackson. Of the three, Lamar gives me the most concern of the thre but not as much as Patrick Mahomes in terms of the rest of the conference.

That man?! He is an issue. Now, problems like Lamar Jackson can be solved. Patrick Mahomes?!..... That is an issue.

Anyone know what the issue with Bradley Anae is? Thought he would be gone in the 3rd, still up there....

I'm really liking the Dotson pick. Obviously, I would have preferred Biadasz, but Dotson is a brute in the run game. Comes off as very likeable and was a long life Steeler fan.

The McFarland pick I have not and probably won't come around on. His tape is not good at all. I watched the Ohio State game. He had 3 runs which accounted for over 200 or hisn298 yards. They were all busted formations. He even out the ball on the ground and I counted 6 negative run plays.

McFarland has the same move Everytime. Get through a hole in the line and try and bounce it to the left sideline. He has no lateral agility.

In saying that. He absolutely had home run speed. He will have to be developed to catch the ball. He didn't do much of that at Maryland.

Character concerns sound atrocious but who knows if they are truthful or not.

Ah, just seen the cowboys got him at the end of the 5th. Those cowboys have had themselves a draft

Tomlin and Matt Canada would know about those character issues. We will have to defer to them; Matt Canada especially. Now, regarding McFarland as a whole, all I am reading on this is the beginning of the end for Jaylen Samuels barring extreme circumstances. It is likely going to be Conner, Snell, McFarland and Whyte as the main stable.

I heard something about him not being a good athlete, he also ran a 4.9 at the combine, that's Jarvis Jones slow.

He's one of the better FCS QBs, no? Transferred to JMU from Pitt.

Maybe an option for a UFA, for someone.

I hope this isn't the end of Samuels. His game against New England was probably the best RB performance for us since Leveon. He's also the best receiver of the bunch and probably the best blocker. Or atleast had the best skill set for it.

I'd personally be surprised if we keep both McFarland and Whyte.

    Freaking Chargers, took Gilman.

He’s like a QB for the secondary, smart guy, good football player.

    Grrr

He's expendable, he averaged 2.7 YPC last season, that game he had against New England was an anomaly.
